Obituary of June Purcell

June F. (Lowry) Purcell, passed away peacefully at her home, on Sunday afternoon, January 22, 2012. The beloved wife of 53 years of Thomas E. Purcell, she was 78 years old. June was born in Medford. She was raised and educated in Medford. She was a graduate of Medford High School. She was the daughter of the late John and Florence Ahern. June’s life was all about her family. She cherished her role of wife, mother and grandmother. When her children were young she was very involved in all their sports events and activities. June and her husband Tom enjoyed being with each other whether it was taking a trip to visit one of their children, shopping or going out to lunch. She always looked forward to her visits with her grandchildren. June was the beloved wife of Thomas E. Purcell. She was the loving mother of Kenneth Purcell of Jacksonville, FL, Kevin Purcell & his wife Karen of South Dennis, Keith Purcell & his wife Sai of Austin, TX and Karen Wilson & her husband William of Chattanooga, TN. Mother-in-law of Nancy Purcell of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. Sister of Robert Lowry of NH and the late Kenneth Lowry. Grandmother of Michael, Jenn, Katie, Nick, and Matthew Purcell, Meghan and Cason Wilson and the late Amy Purcell. Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Friday, Jan. 27 at 9 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Barbara Church, 138 Cambridge Road, Woburn at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 p.m. Interment in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Burlington.
