Obituary of Theodore Caruso
Theodore J. “Ted” Caruso passed away at the Pilgrim Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing Center following a lengthy illness on Thursday evening, September 24, 2015. The beloved son of John & Marjorie Caruso, he was 58 years old.
Ted was born in Waltham. He was raised and educated in Burlington and a 1975 graduate of Burlington High School. He made many close friendships while at BHS and maintained them throughout the years. Ted was a born athlete. As a young child he was part of the Burlington Youth Hockey Program. He then went on to play JV Hockey for Burlington High School. During his younger days he enjoyed playing softball. Ted had a passion for all the Boston sports teams most especially the Boston Bruins.
Ted was a talented craftsman and enjoyed a successful career as a Carpenter. His specialty was framing new home construction. He worked for the family business Caruso Construction for a number of years. Ted loved to travel and had visited such destinations as Cancun, Aruba and many other Caribbean islands. He also enjoyed camping in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Ted will be remembered as a quiet man who was a devoted son, loving brother and proud uncle to his many nieces and nephews.
Ted was the beloved son John & Marjorie (Fahey) Caruso of Burlington. Loving brother of Stephen & his wife Ellen of Peabody, John & his wife Lynne of Pelham, NH, Karlene (Caruso) Thibodeau & her late husband Norman of Salem, NH and Larry & his significant other Kim Wilkins of Gorham, ME. Proud uncle of Stephen, Jr., Joseph, Nicole & Meg Caruso, Doug & Bryan Thibodeau and Derek & Chad Miller.
Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Tuesday, Sept. 29 at 9 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Malachy Church, 99 Bedford St., Burlington at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Monday 4-8 p.m. Interment in Pine Haven Cemetery, BURLINGTON.
