I am a little late, but I would like to let you know how much I enjoyed your mother on your visit to Newfoundland . She was a beautiful woman in many ways.
Every time I pass Spaniards Bay, I remember her comment " Dennis are we in Vermont" I know you and Sara must miss her dearly.
Best wishes from Torbay.

Mom,
How can I capture all that I want to say and let you know how much I have always loved you? It is simple...I cannot. I know that I miss you dearly and will always miss you! But, I also know that you are always with me -- all I have to do is look in the mirror and there you are! Or I can speak and hear your voice and your words! Thank you for that! Thank you Mom for the gift of life...thank you for being a superlative Nana! I know that You will be watching over Michelle, Kathleen & Brian and guiding them with your love and kindness. Please keep them safe and as times goes on, watch over their families.....be sure to give Dad a big hug from me; Jimmy too!! I love you, always have & always will.....
Rest in Peace with Dad's loving arms around you....
Nancy

Dear Nancy and Family~~~
I was reading Ruth's obituary when I had to laugh about her tents with the sofa cushions. I did that as a child with my grandfather and my siblings. Pam and I talk about doing that when we were growing up. We may even do it as adults one of these days.
Ruth sounded like an absolutely delightful lady. My only wish is that I was a part of this family sooner, so perhaps I could have had the true blessing of meeting this lovely lady.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all. You have many lovely memories, so hold them close to your hearts for they will help you through the coming days.
Blessings to you all~~~
Meliss~~~

Dear Cousins,
I know that having to "remember" brings tears but please celebrate with smiles and joy your Mom's beautiful, easy to smile and laugh, spirit. She was always a joy to be around and I'm thankful she was my aunt...and thankful you are my cousins. I love you.

A wonderful obituary...Great-aunt Ruth sparkled whenever I saw her. It is evident that her life (90 years...amazing!) was filled with much love, and she knew how to have fun.
My condolences to all who loved her dearly for your loss. I see her with her sister, Fran [my grandmother] and brothers.

Dear Dennis, Karen, Cheryl and Nancy and Sara, so sorry to hear of Ruth's passing. It was a joy to meet her when she visited Newfoundland several years ago. Her obituary paints a picture of a beautiful happy woman who enjoyed life and her family. So happy we had the pleasure of meeting her.

Dear Nancy, My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this very sad time.
You have always been a loving and caring daughter and I am sure Ruth still knew and loved you for all the TLC that you have always shown her.
She was such a proud and loving grandmother and loved taking the kids to Friendly's for lunch and ice cream, attending school concerts and graduations.
The beautiful memories that you all have will carry you throught many sad times but remember she will still be watching over you with love and pride.
I know she appreciated all that Lee did for her and could not have asked for a better son-in-law.
Harry and I had so many good times with Ruth on holidays and trips which I will always hold close to my heart.
With much love,
Aunt Helena

The memories that you all have of your mother, grandmother, great grandmother and mother-in-law will help to ease the pain.
A parent never dies because of the love that you carry in your heart for them.
