Obituary of Gloria Bennett

Gloria L. (Hanson) Bennett passed away at the Pleasant Valley Nursing Center in Derry, New Hampshire on Tuesday morning, March 13, 2007. The wife of Norman J. Bennett she was 80 years old. Gloria was born in Hartford Connecticut. She was the daughter of the late Carl and Isabelle Hanson. She was raised and educated in South Boston. Gloria was a resident of Burlington for 36 years before moving to Hudson, New Hampshire where she had resided for the past 10 years. Gloria worked as a Bookkeeper at the Bank of Boston and the Bank Five in Burlington for 15 years. She was devoted to her family and loved to spend time with her children or grandchildren attending their many sporting events. Her home was filled with love and laughter. Sunday dinners were a family event in the Bennett household that everyone looked forward to. Gloria was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, and grandmother who will be lovingly remembered. Gloria is the loving wife of 47 years of Norman J. Bennett. Loving mother of Catherine & her husband Stephen Nardelli of Hudson, NH and Jean & her husband Peter Lenox of Reading. Sister of June Lawton of East Hartford, CT and the late Robert Hanson. Grandmother of Adam & Josh Nardelli and Molly & Matthew Lenox. Funeral Services will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Thursday, March 15 at Noon. Visiting hours will be held prior to the services from 10 a.m. – Noon. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Interment will be private. Memorials in Gloria’s name may be made to Make A Wish Foundation, One Bullfinch Place, 2nd Floor, Boston, MA 02114.
