Obituary of Mary Lunceford

Mary G. (Gay) Lunceford, an Accounts Payable Clerk at MKS Instruments, Inc., passed away at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill on Monday afternoon, December 21, 2015. She was 78 years old. Mary was born in the family home that her dad built on Newbridge Avenue which is the Winnmere section of Burlington. She was one of six children born to the late Thomas and Mary Gay. She was raised and educated in Burlington. Mary eventually moved to Woburn where she lived for many years until recently moving to Salem, NH. Mary was still working at MKS Instruments where she was an Accounts Payable Clerk. She had been there 37 years. Mary loved her job and had made many friendships over the years. She was not one to sit idle. She was an avid Golfer and up until last year she was a member of a Golf League with co-workers from MKS. She was a member of the VFW and enjoyed playing Keno. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Mary was the beloved mother of Mary Reece & her husband Gary of Mountain City, TN, David & his girlfriend Laura Fantasia of Westford and Shelby of Lowell. Sister of the Elizabeth Gay of FL and the late Thelma Chaloux, Irene DeRosa, Charles, Al & Wally Gay. Loving grandmother of Roddy, Jack, Mel, Crystal, Jen and Patrick and the late Chrissy. Mary is also survived by 2 great grandchildren. A Memorial Visitation will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Saturday, Dec. 26 from 12 – 1 PM concluding with Funeral Services at 1 PM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited to attend. In lieu of flowers memorials in Mary’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701
