Obituary of Ann White

Ann Marie White a woman of family and faith passed away after an extended illness at her home on Monday morning, December 21, 2015. She was 90 years old. Ann was born in Woburn the daughter of Italian immigrants, the late Joseph and Carmella Shelzi. She grew up and was educated in Woburn and was a graduate of Woburn High School. She had worked as a technician at Sylvania in Burlington for many years. She spent her later years as a Healthcare Assistant caring for the elderly and those who were less mobile or housebound. She had been a resident of Burlington for the past 54 years. Ann had a strong Catholic faith. She was a longtime member of St. Margaret’s Parish where she enjoyed being a parishioner, partaking in mass, and expressing and enhancing her religious beliefs. She shared her faith with her family as well. She was a loving and supportive mother and an extremely proud grandmother and great grandmother. Ann was always on the go and was extremely independent. With her good health, she was able to drive well into her late 80’s. She was a member of the Saint Anthony’s Club in Woburn. She enjoyed going to Bingo with her girlfriends and was a member of several bowling leagues over the years. She was fortunate to have been able to travel all around the world. She enjoyed word puzzles, the Patriots, and watching the reruns of “Bonanza”. She never wanted to be a burden to others and much preferred being on the giving side rather than the receiving end of care and kindness. She will be remembered for her faith, devotion, and compassion she shared with all those her life touched. Ann was the loving mother of Chester White, Jr. of New London, NH, William White & his wife Sharon of Hudson, NH, Thomas White of Burlington, LynneAnne White of Burlington, and Donald White & his wife Martina of Atkinson, NH. She was predeceased by her siblings; Mary Errichetti, Rose Marinaccio, Josephine Pinkham, Dominic, Rocco, Joseph, Louis, and Helen Shelzi. Ann was the proud grandmother of Amanda, Jessica, Andrew, and Christopher and great grandmother of Cameron and Penelope. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Margaret’s Church on January 2, 2016 at 10 a.m. Interment in Calvary Cemetery, Winchester. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Ann’s name may be made to St. Margaret’s Church, 111 Winn St., Burlington, MA 01803. Arrangements by the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, Burlington.
