Obituary of William Cronin

William “Bill” P. Cronin Jr., a resident of Burlington for 31 years, passed away at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington, on Friday, March 16, 2007, following a brief illness. The husband of Barbara A. (Dolan), he was 60 years old. Bill was born in Lawrence. He was the son of the late William P. and Monica Cronin. He was raised and educated in Lawrence and graduated from Central Catholic High School. He then went on to receive a Bachelors Degree from Curry College. Bill is the beloved husband of Barbara A. (Dolan). He is the loving father of William P. Cronin, III & his wife Nicole of Reading, Kevin M. Cronin of Jersey City, NJ, and Kathleen M. Cronin of Burlington. He is the adoring grandfather of Emily N. and Sean R. Cronin. Bill was an avid golfer. He was also known as “Mr. Fix-It”. He enjoyed working on home projects and tinkering on cars. He looked forward to spending summers with his family and friends at Weirs Beach at Lake Winnipesaukee, New Hampshire. Bill’s family was most important to him and he especially loved being “Grampy” to his two grandchildren Emily and Sean. Bill was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, who will be missed by all those whose lives he touched. After graduating from Curry College, Bill was employed as an Area Operations Manager (Real Estate) for New England Telephone/Nynex for 24 years before retiring in 1994. He then went on to work for three years at DEX Company, Inc. where he held the position of Vice President. He had been employed for the past ten years at Norton Asset Management Inc. in Manchester, New Hampshire where he held the position of Senior Business Associate responsible for corporate and small business relationships. In 2005 the New Hampshire Commercial Investment Board of Realtors selected Bill as the Realtor of the Year. Bill was a member of the NH Facilities Managers Association, Meeting Planners International Association, International Teleconferencing Association, and he held the position of Chair for the New England Commercial Property Exchange. He was also a life member of the Boston Chamber of Commerce. Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt.128, Woburn side) on Monday, March 19 at 9 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret’s Church, 111 Winn St., Burlington at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Sunday 3-7 p.m. Interment in Pine Haven Cemetery, Burlington.
