Patricia Ann (Meehan) O’Malley passed away at her home with her children by her side on Friday morning, March 4, 2016. The beloved wife of the late Thomas F. O’Malley, Jr. she was 79 years old.
Pat was born in Rumford, Maine. She was one of five children born to the late Walter and Marie Meehan. Pat’s early years were spent in Rumford Maine and her family later moved to Medford, MA. She went on to become an RN attending a three year nursing program at Malden Hospital.
Pat and Tom moved to Burlington in 1962 and purchased a home on Philip Avenue where they would raise their three children. Pat didn’t skip a beat with raising her children. She provided them with unconditional love and support throughout their lives. She never missed any of their events as young children and as they grew into adulthood. She was there by their side throughout all the milestones in their lives. Pat was fortunate to retire at the age of 62. But she was not one to sit idle. She volunteered at the Lahey Clinic, played weekly card games of bridge with her close friends. Pat was fortunate to travel with her friends as well as her two daughters. Pat was blessed to see the birth of her five grandchildren who brought her so much joy.
