Obituary of Brad Robinson

Brad Robinson passed away of a heroin overdose after a long and turbulent struggle with drug addiction on Thursday, March 24, 2016. He was 35 years old. Like many who struggle with addiction, he had two sides to him. There was the Brad who could bring a smile to almost anyone he met and there was Brad the user. The clean Brad was an incredible individual who was vibrant, fun, and kind. He was a Boy Scout, he loved to skateboard, roller blade, and snow board. He was an animal lover and pit bull advocate and had 3 rescue dogs: Layla, Sammy, and Boston. In high school he was remembered for his warmth, humor, and charm. As an uncle he was fun and more like the kids. He would hop on the trampoline, do gymnastics, play games, play make believe, and anything else his nieces and nephews wanted to do. He loved his parents and siblings and tried to stay clean. He had just come out of rehabilitation days prior, but the dark side was always pushing and edging its way into his life. His family and friends never gave up on him or stopped loving and caring for him, despite the many stumbles in his life time. His death was tragic and senseless and leaves those who cared for him deeply saddened. Brad was a talented woodworker and finish carpenter. He could do almost anything with wood. He was self-taught. He worked on custom cabinets, trim, and high end finishes. He worked all around the Boston area, Cape Cod, and even in Florida. In Boca Raton, he worked on million dollar homes. He took great pride in his work and his customers knew and appreciated his skills and work ethic. Brad was the beloved son of Susan (Landry) and Bobby Robinson, Jr. of Burlington. He was the brother of Greg & his wife Lauren of Downingtown, PA, and Chris & his wife Kasey of Nashua, NH. He was the fun uncle of Casey, Cadence, Zoey, Madeline, & Benjamin Robinson. He was the grandson of Dolores Landry of Burlington, Elizabeth Muhlhauser of Union Grove, AL, the late Arthur Landry, and Bobby Robinson and nephew of Robert & Line Landry of Andover, William Landry of Burlington, Jackie “Rabbit” & Bob Jones of Tewksbury, Edna Muhlhauser of Union Grove, AL, James & Karla Robinson of Seminole, FL. He was the boyfriend of Kim Drake of Andover. Brad was also survived by many cousins and friends. Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn Street, Burlington (exit 34 off Rt. 128/95, Woburn side) on Tuesday, March 29 at 8:45 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in St. Malachy Church, 99 Bedford Street, Burlington at 10 a.m. Visiting hours are on Monday from 4-8 p.m. Cremation will follow the funeral services.
