Obituary of Paul Cormier
Paul Jerry Cormier, a Residential Builder and Developer, passed away suddenly while he was doing what he most loved, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Paul was 61 years old. Paul was born in Cambridge one of four children born to Diana and Aurele Cormier. Paul grew up in Woburn and Winchester. He was a graduate of Winchester High School, Class of 1974. He married Nancy O’Regan in 1981 and they lived in Reading. During his early career, Paul built homes and eventually developed entire neighborhoods. In 1990, Paul and his family decided to move to North Carolina where Paul worked as a Construction Manager for many years. With their children grown, Paul and Nancy eventually returned to Andover, Ma, where Paul continued to build homes. Last year, they returned to Concord, NC, to be closer to their children.
Paul loved his family. He shared 36 years of marriage with Nancy. He was a devoted and supportive father of Amanda Cormier Ortiz and Daniel Cormier. He was thrilled to see his family grow as Pierre Ortiz and Joanna Zanetto joined his family. He was a loving son of Diana Cormier of Andover & the late Aurele Cormier. He was the brother of Eugene Cormier of N. Reading, Robert Cormier of Salem, NH, and Rosemarie Cormier of Exeter NH. He was the son-in-law of Michael O’Regan of Burlington and late Kathleen “Claire” O’Regan. He was also survived by many brother and sister-in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews, business associates and friends. Paul had a great fondness for his puppies; Tess, Penny, Lily, and Zaxby.
Paul loved to collect and refurbish vintage motorcycles and was a Harley Davidson enthusiast. When not riding his bikes, Paul spent his spare time in the kitchen, experimenting with new recipes to feed the ones he loved.
Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (exit 34 off Rt. 128/95, Woburn side) on Saturday, February 25 at 9 a.m. Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Margaret’s Church, 111 Winn St., Burlington at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours Friday, February 24, from 4-8 p.m. The burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Paul’s name may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O.
