Obituary of Vahe Amiralian
Vahe “Frank” Amiralian, a man devoted to his family and his faith, passed away at the Life Care Center in Billerica on Sunday morning, July 23, 2017. The beloved husband of the late Helen (Yenovkian) who passed way in 2014, he was 94 years old.
Frank was born, in Boston. He was the son of the late Socrates and Mary Amiralian. He was raised and educated in Watertown. Frank was a Veteran of World War II serving his country in the United States Army. He was the recipient of the Good Conduct Medal, Victory Medal, European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, Army Commendation Medal and the DECR Medal. Frank would meet Helen Yenovkian and they would marry in November of 1946. They settled in Burlington in 1960 where they would raise their family. Frank was a faithful and outgoing person who worked hard to provide for his family. He had a successful career as an Electronics Technician.
Frank was a longtime and active member of the Church of the Open Bible in Burlington. His faith was a very important part of his life. He taught Sunday School, was a Deacon and was very involved in the Friday Night Youth Program.
Frank and Helen had a wonderful marriage of 68 years. When their children were young they enjoyed taking their children on day trips to the beach. The family’s most memorable trip was driving cross-country in the family station wagon from Burlington to California. They made many stops during the trip and visited the Painted Dessert, the Grand Canyon, Yosemite National Park, and Disneyland. Frank and Helen enjoyed their retirement years taking trips to local New England destinations in Cape Cod, New Hampshire and Gloucester. As a child Frank learned to play the Violin. He had a love for classical music that he shared with his children.
Nothing brought Frank greater joy than his wife, his children and in later years his 7 great grandchildren. Being with his family would bring a smile to his face and immense happiness.
Frank was the beloved husband of the late Helen Marie (Yenovkian). Loving father of David & his wife Pamela of North Andover, Eileen Weaver & her husband Richard of Burlington, Donald of Burlington and Carol “Jay” Carlson & her husband Arthur of Billerica. Brother of the late Alice Ezekielian & Barkev Amiralian. Proud grandfather of Erik Kesting, Adam, Michael & Rachel Amiralian and Keith, Brian & Mark Weaver & Laurie Boyce. Also survived by 7 great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Wednesday, July 26 at 7 p.m. Relatives & friends respectfully invited to attend.
