I still can't believe she is really gone. Two days before Mare died, we were watching TV in her room at Lahey, and the Energizer bunny came on the screen. I told her "Whenever I see that pink rabbit I think of you". Sleepy and puzzled Mare asked "Why?" I told her it was because no matter how many setbacks she'd had, nothing stopped her. She just kept on keeping on. She smiled.
