Mare was such a supportive and wonderful mentor for me as I was an aspiring musician. She was. one of. the. sweetest and most compassionate people I have ever met. And don't get me started about her voice.
I love you Mare. I'm sorry we weren't in touch and am so sorry I never got to say goodbye. You have the most beautiful soul. Please, when its my. time, welcome me to heaven with that glorious voice.
You're also more than welcome to visit me anytime in my dreams.
All my love you beautiful angel.
xo,
Roger

I had a premonition on Mare. So sad! I knew she suffered for a long time with multiple sclerosis.
We met at the Sword in the Stone coffeehouse in the 1980's. Everyone I brought to listen loved that soulful voice.
RIP go with the Grace of God.
Many memories of blessings!

My dearest Mare,
We were separated by many miles and yet we were joined in a most holy and beautiful friendship.
I rejoice that the earthly part of your journey has ended and you are now on the other side of the
veil in heavenly bliss where your intercession continues.
I thank God for the day we met, the joy we shared in bringing the Queen of the Clergy to the world.
Yes, Mare, you always thought "big" when it came to upholding Mary, the Eucharist and the Priesthood.
May your reward in Heaven be great.
Forever in my heart and prayers, Kathleen

Dearest Mare - You have received your final reward, the gift of ever-lasting life with the Lord! You are the finest example of how to live as Jesus taught, to love one another as He loves us. Thank you. Through your music you also taught thousands of how to live a good and holy life. We first met at Father McDonough's healing Mass in Watertown sooo many years ago. We shared friendship and our faith for many years. My Mom and I had the pleasure of singing with you at the Espousal in Waltham and how those rehearsals would be!! You taught me, not a singer, how to project and that all voices, sung for God were beautiful! You were an amazing force of life and accomplished so much. Your life was a challenge but you
loved it so much and all the wonderful people you met along your journeys. I am forever grateful for the time we had together and while we haven't see one another for a few years, you
were always in my heart. We share a mutual friend and know that we will share our experiences with you forever as well. Anyone who knew you never forgot the special woman you were and the gifted artist and songwriter of such moving songs. Now you can join in the choir of angels singing God's praises every moment. Condolences to your family and friends, your passing has left heavy hearts behind. I for one will work on living and loving the way God intended us to do. May God bless you and your family and friends. Thank you for the wonderful times and experiences. You will be remembered always. Love. Susan R.

I still can't believe she is really gone. Two days before Mare died, we were watching TV in her room at Lahey, and the Energizer bunny came on the screen. I told her "Whenever I see that pink rabbit I think of you". Sleepy and puzzled Mare asked "Why?" I told her it was because no matter how many setbacks she'd had, nothing stopped her. She just kept on keeping on. She smiled.
Miss you Mare.
Love, Karen
Sang sweetly, loved deeply,
Laughed loudly, prayed proudly,
Battled bravely. Died at peace.
Rest well dear friend.
