Obituary of Joan P Crockett
Joan P. (Biagiotti) passed away with her family by her side on Saturday afternoon, January 20, 2018. The beloved wife of the late Russell S. Crockett, she was 81 years old.
Joan was born in Charlestown. She was the daughter of the late Leonetto and Iva Biagiotti. Her family moved to Burlington when she was in 8th grade. It was while in high school that she would meet her future husband Russell. They married in 1961 and would eventually build their home here in Burlington where they would raise their daughter Lisa. After high school she worked in Boston for a period of time and then First Federal Bank in Burlington. Joan went on to work as an Office Manager for Dr. Bertram Christmas (located on Cambridge St.,) for over 30 years. Joan was a very special woman with a kind heart. She was always able to put other people’s needs and wants ahead of her own. She was always making sacrifices for others. Joan was blessed to live with her three grandchildren for the past 10 years. She was an important part of their lives. She never missed any of their events or activities. When they came home from school each day it was Joan that would greet them as they walked in the door. Simply said – Ryan, Alex and Kate were the “light of her life”.
Joan also had a very special bond with her daughter Lisa. They weren’t just mother and daughter – they were the best of friends. They were always there for each other and supported each other throughout their lives.
Joan will be remembered for her huge heart and for being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
Joan was the beloved wife of the late Russell S. Crockett. Loving and devoted mother of Lisa J. Crowe of Burlington. Proud grandmother of Ryan, Alex and Kate. Loving sister of John Biagiotti & his wife Donna of Ipswich and Theresa Merrigan & her husband John of New Mexico. Aunt of Jennifer & Michaela Biagiotti. Sister-in-law of Lorraine Pelletier of Marblehead, Ronald Crockett & his wife Jeannine Camarda of Marblehead and the late Audrey Dern. Joan is also survived by her lifelong friend Carol Santry of Billerica.
