Obituary of Carla E. Venti
Carla E. Venti, a spirited woman, passed away at the Brigham and Woman’s Hospital in Boston on Friday morning, March 16, 2018, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 53 years old.
Carla was born and raised in Woburn. She was a 1982 graduate of Woburn High School. After high school she attended Salem State College. Carla worked as a Marketing and Social Media Specialist and an Administrative Professional. She had a strong and diverse skill set that allowed her to make significant contributions to the companies she worked for. Carla’s last job was at J. P. Electrical Services in Lynn. She loved her job at J. P. Electrical. Prior to working there she worked as an Office Manager at Euclides Technology and as an Assistant to the CEO at LingoMotors. Carla volunteered for the Advocate for Internet Child Protection Program for a number of years. This was just one of many organizations that she volunteered for. Giving back to the community and helping people was an important part of who Carla was.
Carla loved the beach and nothing brought her more peace and tranquility than a visit to the ocean. She had a strong affection for dogs and loved to listen to music.
Carla was a woman of deep faith. Her faith and her church were a very important part of her life. She was a member of the Calvary Christian Church in Lynnfield. Throughout Carla’s life she made many friends and maintained these relationships. These friends were very important to her, and were very supportive of her during her battle with cancer. Her sister Paula was also very involved and supportive of Carla during her battle with cancer taking her to her doctor’s appointments and just being there for her. Carla was a free spirited woman who would describe herself as ''an ordinary girl living in an extraordinary world''.
Carla was the beloved daughter the late Joseph & Angela Venti. Loving sister of Paula Rigby & her husband William of Burlington, Mark Venti & his wife Jeannine of Houston, TX and Joseph Venti of Woburn. Aunt of Nicole & Jillian Rigby. Former wife of the late John Gilbert.
Visiting hours will be held at the Edward V Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt., 128/95 Woburn side) on Wednesday, March 28 from 4-8 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at the Calvary Christian Church, 47 Grove St., Lynnfield on Thursday, March 29th at 11:00 a.m. Relatives & friends respectfully invited to attend. Burial will be private.
