Ruth has been a very special person for our family.
When we first arrived in the U.S. she was the first person we encountered. Ruth has always been close to us , just like a mother.
She always helped everyone with her big heart a beautiful smile. We will miss her so much and we never forget her .
Her letters, which she sent us when we came back to Italy, will remain a treasure for us.
We have many beautiful memories of times spent together, at home, at work and last but not least
the special evening spent at Ida's home this last January when Angela and Chiara came to the USA.
Our sincerest condolences, your Italian Friends
The Gaglia Family

I spoke with Ruth over the phone lines for many years at IL, but unfortunately never met her face to face with me being in New York. She was a sweet and caring woman and such a classy lady. R.I.P. Ruth. IL will not be the same without you. <3

Having worked with Ruthie for 35 of her 40 years with IL, I can tell you she was the hardest working employee they ever had. She was always cheerful and positive. Dolly and I will never forget the good times we had together. She was the best. Now she's just gone to get some rest.

I will miss my gym buddy. I met Ruth at the gym many years ago. Unfortunately, recently, she has been going at night and I have been going first thing in the morning. However, I will miss her wit, humor, and charm. She was a lovely person who I will not easily forget.
Please except my sincere sympathy.

Ruth's kindness, smile and warmth will be missed very much at the gym. Though she was small in stature, she was huge in heart. We will remember Ruth fondly and send our heartfelt sympathy.

I just received the news that my friend Ruth passed. I am in shock and have much sadness. I got to know Ruth through walking Jackson, a Greyhound she rescued and loved. When Ruth first got sick I was able to get to know her so well :)
She was such a fighter and always looked to the positive in everything. She was the most caring and wonderful woman I had ever met. She loved her family, her job, her neighbors and anyone who was in her life. My heart goes to her family with caring thoughts and love. Ruth you will be missed but always remembered....

I got to know Ruth when I came to work at Instrumentation Laboratory 7 tears ago. She was a pleasure to work with, and always eillng to help. She was great storyteller, especially when it came to her greyhounds. She would always ask about my dogs.
To say Ruth will be missed, is a great understatement. We loved her.

We had the pleasure of living next to Ruth for 12 years. She was the best neighbor anyone could have. We will miss seeing Ruth tending to her garden out back and talking to her over the fence. She was always so kind to our children often bringing them treats. May she be at peace surrounded by her beloved dogs Sam and Luna. The neighborhood will not be the same.

Ruthie was our neighbor as far back as I can remember. I remember when she lived there with her Mom and daughter Diana. We would find fresh veges from her garden in a bag on our door, or a loaf of yummy bread from the bakery. Always friendly and kind to my parents and my in-laws. She would always take the time to stop and chat. We will miss the tiny quiet lady, with a big dog and even bigger heart.
Our sincere condolences,
the Widtfeldt Family
