Barbara was a close of friend for many many years. Those years brought us through numerous good times and lots of happy memories. We spoke on the phone Christmas Eve day, she said "We had some great times together Liz and some times that were pretty bad but we got through it together.Thank you Liz for being there for me and do not be sad for me"
I shall miss My Bibbles, my nick name for her. We did indeed have adventures and such wonderful times, all our "girl nights" where we would watch a sappy movie or a movie made for children, our long profound talks and our foolish banter that made us hysterical with laughter because of our "odd" sense of humor.
As good friends often do. We had our moments. Oh yes, but we accepted, understood and over looked as that is how it goes with true friends.
Barbara was always the "peace maker" she truly would forgive no matter what. Not too many people have that in their character. I have a plaque in my office that reads ALWAYS FORGIVE YOUR ENEMIES, THEY HATE THAT.The first time Bibbles saw that, she laughed, wanting to know where I had ever found it as "it was so true" Perhaps that was why Barbara did forgive as she knew something concerning forgiveness that she kept to herself? That plaques meant ever so much to me then and more so now.
One thing for certain, I loved Barbara no matter what and she loved me.
And so, the end of the day with life's closing shadows came for Barbara, which we discussed at great length.I KNOW that Bibbles looks down on me, laughs at what she sees me do and hears me say.It will be along time before I can cook two of her favorite things, which I made for her lots of times- Chicken and Dumplings-Macaroni & Tomatoes.
To Barbara's Family,am so sorry for your loss of such a special individual that you called, sister, aunt, sister in law. Wasn't it wonderful to have known her and to have had her in our lives? No matter what she did, you could not stay upset with her for very long. I shall leave you with something that I said to Babara last August which touched her deeply and lifted her up." Bibbles, no regrets ok? you did the best that YOU could, you loved, were loved and are loved, what else is there?
Kindly
Liz

Dearest Deb and family,
I am so broken-hearted of Barbara's passing.
I hope you know I will always be here for you anytime to talk, have coffee or whatever you want to do. Your family has always had a place in my heart.
I will miss our 'Barbie-Doll'.
The sweetness and kindness she always showed to me and my family, was immeasureable. I loved that she loved me and Nick and Alex and Ashleigh with a genuine love. There was never anything phoney or pretentious about her. I will miss her little voice and joyful laugh. Oh, and her cooking!!!!
Be grounded in your faith. Jesus, now has your beautiful sister and I am so thankful for Him.
Much Love always,
Dinyce and family

My dear friend Deb, after losing my young niece in October to cancer( her 3rd) I know your utter despair in being so vigilent for a year or more, and losing a huge part of your life. I had planned on being there today, but cannot make it. I hope you know our sadness has brought us together again in friendship. Anything I can do please call. Barbara has truly found peace and I am sure Diana is smiling and holding her hand right now. She was a great kid. Janet
