Sherri very sorry to hear of the of loss of your grandmother . Just want to say that Mrs Skelton was my fifth grade teacher at Union School and one of my favorites .I remember at the end of the year she walked our class down to her house on Sears St for a end of year party, we were the envy of the other 5th graders!

Sherri, You don't know me, although you may have gone to school with one of my sons. I just want you to know what a special person your Grandmother, Jane, was in my young life. She was my Kindergarten teacher in Burlington long before Kindergarten was part of the public school system. When Burlington was the very small town where everyone knew just about everyone, I also have a vague memory of your Grandfather. I knew your Mom quiet well also. I remember so clearly sitting at the small tables in your Grandmother's Kindergarten room in her home, and having Graham crackers as a special treat on certain days. I was very shy back then but your Grandmother helped me through that stage. She later became my "Brownie" leader....she was so very much a part of the Burlington I grew up in. Before moving from Burlington in 2005, I often would bump into her here & there & what a thrill - she never seemed to change. She certainly had a long wonderful life, something to be very proud of. Prayers & blessings to you & your family,
Dayle Caterino

Sherri and Craig, Ross & Katie have been keeping you close in thought and in prayer since losing your Mom and Dad. Jean Callahan called to see if I was aware of Jane's going home to be with the Lord.
Just before your Mom and Dad got married your Grandmother
was writing her final paper for her Master's, when at recess
monitoring the boys baseball game, one of kids after swinging the bat, let it fly. It hit Jane put her arm out of commission for a quite a while. ...so it was during this time that my Mom and I got to know your Grandmother. As she
could barely write and the dead line was approaching, my Mother said she would type up her paper and along I would go. Around that time wedding plans were in the final stages and with your Dad's family coming to stay at the house your Grandmother was beside herself as house cleaning could not be kept up with her arm out of commission. So my Mom enlisted me to come and help clean to take the pressure off Jane.
Well we cleaned and cleaned and we laughed and laughled as
your Grandmother would give us instructions as to how and where to put all the stuff she felt shouldn't be around for
"strangers" to see, even to the inside of cabinets and closets.
The first time I had dinner in the dinning room, I couldn't believe it. I blurted out, your plates and wallpaper match!
My favorite story of all time is the one your Dad told about
Ross in the elevator, wanting to push the buttons, only catch was depending on where your Mom was, leaving could be
by going up or going down in the elevator. So after a few misses and the door not opening on the lobby level, another
attempt and finally...Ross sticks his head out.. sees the lobby and says, "I'll be damned". God Bless
