So very sorry for your lose. God takes the ones he needs and leaves us with the best memories. Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely, in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, and totally worn out, proclaiming "wow what a ride"

Lorraine, Adam and Danica – my heart goes out to all of you. Though its been a long time since we’ve all been together, I have thought about your family often over the years. One time I asked my mom if she knew any happily married couples, and she said “I know one. Lorraine and Chris”. Even despite the distance and the years apart, you have been an example to me. You all are in my prayers constantly. I remember when I was younger you all taught my brothers and I some fun games, one being the game where you say you’re going on a vacation and then tell what you’re bringing…. and the two items need to start with your two initials. I have taught SO many people that game over the years (even very recently) and every single time I do, I tell them how you all told me about the first time you played it with Chris. You sat around telling him what you all were bringing, and without hesitation, without even having to think about it, Chris said “I’m bringing chips and beer and I’m going to bed!”. That story has brought me and every one I share it with many laughs. "What we once enjoyed and deeply loved we can never lose, for all that we love deeply, becomes a part of us" – Hellen Keller. You’re all in my prayers. Love, Katie [Sheehan] Leder

Lorraine, Adam, and Danica...
Abraham Lincoln said "And it's not the years in your life that count, it's the life in your years." Chris was a good example of this, living and doing more in his lifetime than some of us ever will in ours. I will always remember and treasure the Stoneham days, when I was blessed to have you all as my family. During that time, I witnessed in Chris and Lorraine's relationship all that is good and right about marriage. They would get up early, before the kids, just to sit in the quiet and have coffee together. And when Danica was born, seeing Chris, this big bear of a man, holding his tiny little baby so gently and tenderly was a sight to behold. Chris was a good and decent man and it was a privilege to have known him. I will never forget him.
With much love and care to you all during this sad time and always....Leslie

Words can not express how sorry I am for your loss of a loving husband and father. I know that he deeply loved all of you and was extremely proud of his family.
Chris was a solid man, both physically and emotionally, you always knew that you could count on him for help, for support, for friendship and for unending love.
His firm handshake and hugs epitomized the strength of his personality. His work, concrete foundations, was the perfect metaphor for his life, he provided solid and enduring foundations in his personal life with Lorraine, Adam and Danica as well in his professional work life.
Chris lived the American dream, he worked hard, married the love of his life and raised two wonderful children.
He was the "John Wayne" of our lives and he will be sorely missed.
Chris was my friend for life, his was my brother and I am lucky to have had him in my life. God bless my friend and his family.

"We never lose those we love"---St Augustine
No words may be able to describe the heartache that you are all experiencing.
Being Christians, you all should look at the Paschal Mystery which Our Lord and Savior, Jesus did.
He opened the doors of eternal peace and He also said that
all who believe in him shall never die.
In this time of sadness, just try to remember, that we are all on a short journey and are mortal bodies may only become Immortal by our releasing of the Spirit back to Jesus who will make our bodies bright and new and more lovely that the earthly one.
Chris, the baby, the son, the child, the junior, the senior, the uncle, the Love -------------
The husband, the father remains with all of you in your hearts. In your dreams, my dear ones will, Chris will bring you the joy and happiness that you seem to have lost.
My sincerest sympathy and heartfelt sorrow,
Al

Dear Lorraine and family,
After reading Chris' obituary and all of the wonderful tributes, I can only feel very sad that I never had the opportunity to know Chris. I remember seeing him once, maybe twice when I was young but was never given the opportunity to get to know my cousin. As a Burt, I have always wanted to better know my family. Unfortunately, this circumstance will bring us together finally, but not in the way I had hoped. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. Chris' suddden passing is truly a loss for all of us. Please accept my most sincere condolences.
