Despina, I only know your son, Simeon, however, I do feel I know you through him. We, at Albertson, are so blessed to have him in our lives. Thank you for being his mother. You did a good job. I send you and your family love, compassion, support and peace.

Despina:
Goodbye to the Life I used to live -
And the World I used to know -
And kiss the Hills, for me, just once -
Then - I am ready to go!

I have know Despina for 40 years now.
I have known her to be capable of leading armies to great victory, of being so stubburn as to halt the Hoover Dam. I have known her to scare the skin off of an onion.
But more than anything, I have known her to be one of the kindest, most caring and loving people there is on this earth.
I have watched her go gently to people at her nursing home, take their hands and look deeply at them, knowing that their families had abandoned them; and they would smile, knowing that Despina was part of their family now.
I have seen her take loving care of everyone she came upon. She brushed the hair of so many who had aching hearts, because there were no family members to do that for them. She just knew in her heart and Spirit who was in need. Naturally, she comforted them. There was nothing unreal about Despina!
She and her son, Rev. Simeon, took care of each other and never neglected anyone in need.
She loved to grow flowers and, now, the seeds of her Spirit may reap from the gardens of her life
Despina, go happily into the arms of God. Always keep that wonderful faith. I have loved you, and you leave with me a memory that will live forever!!!
GOD SPEED and be happy, my old friend,
Rev. Steve

May God bless and keep you, as you reunite with Dad, Uncle Charlie and so many others in the family. It was my greatest honor to be your son and your comforter, both in good times and in times of challenge. I love you more than you will ever know and shall continue to do so forever. Today, a Great Truth has been revealed to you. Embrace it; stand in awe of it; revel in it; and cherish it. It speaks to you, as it speaks to us all!
Happy Anniversary to you and Dad.
Godspeed, my precious and beloved mother.
Your Son, Simeon
