My daughter-in-law, Kerry Shea Becker, always spoke with love and admiration for her Nana Shea. I had the opportunity to meet Eileen a few years ago when she was visiting South Florida at Thanksgiving. I was invited to join the family for dinner at the Sea Watch restaurant, and I remember how welcome she made me feel by telling me that I was part of the family now. May you cherish your fond memories always. My sincere sympathy to all of you.

Eileen Shea was my grandmother. I am the oldest grandchild and consider myself incredibly blessed to have called her Nana.
Nana Shea was amazing to each of us. I think she had an incredible way of making each of the many grandkids feel as if they were her favorite. There are so many wonderful memories I will always treasure and hold close to my heart.
A few of my favorite memories:
She surprised the Florida Sheas one Thanksgiving and took us all to the BC- Miami game. Little did we know this would be the game the world would never forget. The Doug Flutie Hail Mary Game. I remember all of us jumping down.. It was a blast!
Another memory is spending 5 days by myself opening the cottage at the Cape. Yes this meant going to mass daily but I also knew I would be spoiled rotten and have lobster at every meal. We talked for hours and I tresure those 5 days alone for always.
I am blessed she came to my wedding. I still her laugh when Pat caught the garter and my friend Rusty gave her a lap dance. I will never forget Rusty later mooning her at the pool. Fortunately, Nana had manhattans and thought it was funny.
The Chinese food parties at her house, the twinkling in her eyes, her wisdom, her guidance, her strong yet stubborn ways, her independence, her laugh, her loving hugs, ending every call with I love Ya Ker (more like Ka with her Boston accent), and God Bloss you Ka..
Nana or Eileen as most of you know her by was an amazing person and such an important person to so many of us. I will miss her very much but know she is with Grandpa Shea, Pat and my Dad, Jimmy.
Godspeed Nana. I love you so much!
