I worked with Brian for many years at Thermo.
As I was based in the United Kingdom, much of our time together was spent on the telephone and I recall from those conversations just how much his family meant to him. So it is to you, his family, to whom I extend my sincere condolences.
I was truly saddened when I heard of Brian's passing. I recalled the evenings he gave up to have dinner with me when I visited Waltham. The time he spent was a quiet kindness that did not go unappreciated, and I think for me, "quiet kindness" summed up the man.
