Obituary of Heinrich Lulsdorf

Heinrich J. “Henry” Lulsdorf, a retired Electrical Engineer, passed away at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington, on Friday evening, Sept. 14, 2012. The beloved husband of 53 years of Gerda M. “Peggy” (Perwo) he was 74 years old. Henry was born in Bonn, Germany. He was the son of the late Matthias and Katharina Lulsdorf. Henry was raised and educated in Germany. He met his future wife Peggy when she was just 17 and Henry was 18. Henry moved to Canada for employment opportunities. Peggy eventually joined Henry in Canada and a year later they were married. They moved to the United States in 1966. Henry had a successful career as an Electrical Engineer working for Varian in Gloucester for over 35 years. Henry led a very full and active life. He was very involved in the Church of the Open Bible serving as one of the Elders and a Trustee of the church. Henry traveled a lot throughout his life returning to his family home in Germany, traveling for his job at Varian, traveling cross country and overseas as well as a Pilgrimage to Israel. Henry enjoyed playing chess and his later years he learned to play golf. Henry was very proud of his four children and their accomplishments. He was proud to be a grandfather of 13 and great grandfather of 2. He will be remembered for this dedication to family and his church. Henry was the beloved husband of 53 years of of Gerda M. “Peggy” (Perwo). Loving father of Mark & his wife Robin of St. Augustine, FL, Monica Chamberlain & her husband Bill of Burlington, Thomas & his wife Cindy of Wilmington, and Suzanne Voegele & her husband Corey of Manheim, PA. Brother of Helen Lulsdorf of Tewksbury, Hermann “Joe” Lulsdorf & his wife Ursula of North Salem, NH and the late Maria Rothe. Also survived by 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at the Church of the Open Bible, 3 Winn St., Burlington on Saturday, Sept. 22 at 1:00 p.m. Relatives & friends respectfully invited to attend.
