I will always be grateful to Phyllis for her amazing presence--not only in seeing me through all the paperwork of my retirement, but in helping me cope with my husband's cancer. She was one-of-a-kind--and will be missed!

There will never be another Mimi. She was a true mother to me in every sense of the word and I cannot imagine her not being on the other end of the phone. I credit her with all the goodness I may be able to muster towards others and hope to be the kind of mom she was. She cherished her family, her grandchildren (and significant others) and nieces (and husbands and children)as if she had given them life herself. She always had a kind word and/or encouragement during life's disappointments and her cooking and gardening talent will live on through us all. My deepest gratitude to Wayne and his family for helping her through her darkest days on her way back to Mark and Dearie. She will have a piece of my heart until the day I see her again. Rest in peace, Mimi...I love you and will miss you!
Your other daughter, Dj

Dear Wayne and Family,
I always enjoyed seeing Phyllis think of her bright smile and that twinkle in her eye, always so gracious and kind to all, and with a plate of cookies to share. She was a special person and I feel lucky to have known her. I'm so sorry, she is missed.

I was so sorry to hear of Phyllis passing but know that she is at peace in a more beautiful place.
I met Phyllis several years ago when my husband Harry retired and was amazed at the time and assistance that she gave us.
When my husband passed very suddenly 3 years ago Phyllis was right there to help me and I know because of her help it made many of my days bearable.
I always told her that when she retires the town would fall apart and she would laugh.
I also told her that she was such an inspiration to me always with her beautiful smile and positive attitude even though she was not feeling well herself.
I feel blessed to have know her if only for a short time.
My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friend.

Phyllis will be missed by all of the Towns employees and retirees. In a world somewhat disconnected by busy lives and the hustle and bustle of our times, Phyllis always took a very personal and caring approach to dealing with "her friends". I am a better person having known you. Rest in peace
