Lynda and Kevin:
Because of you Art became my family. In the beginning (and I don't recall why, but I'm sure it was at Lynda's bidding) I began to call Art from time to time. Then it became once a week, then it became whenever we had something to share. You imbued a sense of responsibility on me as if I really were family and I will always cherish that. I will miss Art's calls, his sharp mind and his corny jokes. Thank you for sharing him with me.

My heart breaks for you and I hope the fond memories you and Kevin have will see you though this very sad time. I had forgot your Dad worked for the Post Office! I bet my late Mom knew him as she went there alot.

Arthur, the summers in Brant Rock will never be the same without you. you will sincerely be missed by all of us down here. There will surely be something missing at every cookout from here on out. I know you hated dogs but apart from that you were an amazing man, and Im happy I got the chance to know you. Thank you for being my friend. Thank you for never forgetting a single detail about me and always asking how things were going, I always knew you cared because of it. Ill miss you.

To the Stryke Family: so sorry for your loss. Arthur is at peace now with Kaye. You kids all need to feel proud of how you bonded together to allow your Dad the opportunity to stay in his home for as long as he did. Sorry to have missed the service, I'm sure you can all understand the reason. My heartfelt sympathy to all of you.

I got the sad news from Lisa yesterday. I wanted to write, but internet and phones are getting pretty bad here. I am deeply saddened to hear about Arthur. It was always great to see him at the many gatherings over the years. He always had a smile and some great stories. No matter what the party or gathering was for, and how many people where there, Arthur always made time to talk to me, and ask me how the Army was going. He also encouraged me many times to stay in and "make sure you get that retirement". I enjoyed talking to him about his time in the Navy. I smile thinking back to how Arthur and Connie would tell the best stories, some true, and some that might have been embellished over the years. But they would have us laughing so hard. I will miss him, as I am sure so many people who knew him will.
Rest in peace Arthur

Kevin, Lynda, Billy, Terry and Trisha, We were very sorry to hear about the loss of Uncle Arthur. We know how lost all of you will be without him. I myself have so many wonderful memories of 8 Marion Road. I truly believe that Uncle Arthur is healthy, happy and with Aunt Kay now having the time of his life. Rest in Peace, Artie!......I will so miss your weekly phone calls, and the laughs that we've shared over the past year and a half or so! (well? whenever it was when you realized that your calls to me down here in Florida were free! ...smile!) I am thankful that we had that "phone time" to remember years past, and to swap family stories, funny and otherwise, about those that had gone before us.....We had the time also to swap children and grandchildren stories....about things we thought we must have done right by them!(and otherwise!)....I will truly miss the "bitchin" about the weather, cost of living, crazy drivers on the roads, medical costs...and the general curses of getting old!.....I will miss your calls, Artie! but I'm happy that you don't have to worry about the pine cones, or the GD leaves, or the long cold winters ever again!...I'm also happy that you'll get to be with Kathleen....give my love to her and the rest! I'll miss you, my cousin, my friend!.....Love, Kay xoxo

Dear Arthur,
You will be truly missed by your friends and family. Lynda is going to be lost without you. I've known you for most of my life, since Lynda and I met in first grade. I'll always remember your pool even though I didn't get the chance to swim in the hole because you filled it in. I know you are now happy seeing Kate once again.
You will be missed forever, enjoy your new home.

Arthur was the kindest, sweetest man I knew. Always happy to see me as I was to see him. I would always love when he said to me do your remember when you and Tricia were little and you did ..... Then he would proceed to tell the stories of our childhood. Then he would say "you two were a couple of beuts". It always brought me back to those days. He would say this is my Italian daughter and I really believed him when I was little. When I got older it just made me feel special. I have only fond memories of Arthur and Kay and 8 Marion Road. They will be in my heart forever.

I will always cherish the memories of my friend and neighbor. From when we used to sit on Salvatos rock waiting for the boys to get off the kindegarten bus to sitting in the kitchen gossiping. Thank you for sharing your Dad/Grandfather with me. He always talked with such pride of his kids and especially his grandkids! He would talk about their basketball games and swim meets and how good they were doing in school. Everytime I make zucchini bread I will think of you. I will miss being able to pick up the phone and tell you not to mow your lawn because it is too hot out or tease you about where you are putting your leaves, and also calling to let you know who won the football games. This neighborhood will not be the same without you here. I saw a hummingbird outside my window minutes before I heard that you passed away and the last time I ever saw a hummingbird around here was the spring after my Arthur died, he tried for years to attract them here without success and when I saw it that time I wanted to believe it was his way of letting me know he was ok and to say goodbye and maybe it was also your way of stopping by one last time to say goodbye. I know you are happy to finally be with Kay. Thank you always listening to me, giving me advice and support and at times helping me keep my sanity. But most of all for being my friend.
