Obituary of Paul Geick
Paul T. Geick, a man dedicated to his family and his faith, passed away unexpectedly at the Lowell General Hospital on Saturday evening, December 22, 2018. The beloved husband of Shirley (Boufffard) he was 63 years old.
Paul was born in Framingham. He was the son of the late Harold and Catherine Geick. Paul lived briefly in Bedford and then his family moved to Hyannis. He was a graduate of Hyannis High School and went on to further his education graduating with both a Bachelors in Communication and Broadcasting and a Master’s Degree in Theater and Performing Arts from Emerson College.
Paul would meet his future wife Shirley through friends from church. They married on August 9, 1980. They lived in Jamaica Plain, Burlington and in Chelmsford for the past 5 years. Paul had a passion for acting and broadcasting. He performed theatre in a number of local venues as well as church functions. He worked in customer service and sales.
Paul contracted Polio as an infant, however was not one to let his health get in the way of a full and active life. He enjoyed downhill skiing, played softball at Crossroads Evangelical Church and was in the process of planning a wheelchair hockey tournament for his Church Grace Chapel. Paul was also an advocate for the differently challenged.
Paul had an outgoing and funny personality. He loved people and having good conversations. He was an avid Boston sports fan with the Patriots as his favorite team. Paul was a wonderful role model for his two sons Josh and Jason. He was proud to see them grow into adulthood and the decisions they made which shaped their lives. Paul and Shirley had a wonderful 38 year marriage. Their faith and church were a very important part of their lives. Paul was blessed to celebrate the marriage of his son Josh this past September to his bride Tara. It was a special day for the entire Geick family. Paul was looking forward to celebrating his other son Jason’s wedding to his fiancée Leah in February.
Paul was the beloved husband of Shirley (Bouffard). He was the loving & proud father of Josh & his wife Tara of the North End of Boston and Jason & his fiancée Leah Buchanan of San Diego, CA. Brother of David of CT. Funeral Services will be held at Grace Chapel, 59 Worthen Road, Lexington on Saturday, Dec. 29 at 11:00 a.m. A reception will be held immediately following the service at Grace Chapel. Relatives & friends respectfully invited to attend.
