I am so very sorry to hear about George's passing. He was my high school English teacher at Sacred Heart and very passionate. Also about our school sports teams. I can still see him running up and down the sidelines.
I hope all your wonderful memories of George are helping you during this difficult time. As you know, he is keeping a close eye on all of you from heaven. God Bless!

I extend heartfelt sympathy to the family of George "Frankie" Lombard. There is no doubt his memory will live on....Mr. Lombard touched so many hearts. My granddaughter, Brittanie A. Colantonio, adored him...He assisted Brittanie with many of her school endeavors....always a "pioneer" for the special needs student! May he rest in God's Peace, and please know he will be missed by many. God Bless All!!!

Cousin Frankie was one of those people who can always make you feel better even when you are feeling sad. He was a very optimistic person, easy going, and able to make you laugh. He was full of energy and it is hard to believe he is gone from our lives too soon.

George was one of the most caring and kindest of people I have ever known in my lifetime.
As a fellow 1970 graduate of Cathedral High School (CHS), George’s interest and enthusiasm in sports and school activities made him the ideal “cheer leader”, for everything CHS and ultimately carried him through his entire life as coach and guidance counselor. With George on your team (side), the world was your oyster. I have been reading the wonderful, amazing accolades of his students and friends and it overwhelms me to know that George’s life will continue on and on for many years, in the lives of those he touched so unselfishly.
