• Justine and I have only known Joan for the past 15 years, but it was easy for us to see in that relatively short time, that you knew that she was person that had those characteristics that many would like to have, but rarely do. She was to say the least; neighborly, attentive, considerate, thoughtful, nice, pleasant and warm. • • She was always genuinely concerned on how things were going with you and trying to help if she could. • • As a member of our community she regularly did the same. She just didn’t become a member of committee for a couple years; she spent the entire 15 years doing what she did best, trying to enhance our community for all that lived here. Justine and I can’t put into words how much we will miss her and the many gathering’s she hosted along with her husband Dom (where she did 99% of the work) This sums up our feelings; “nothing makes a room feel emptier than wanting someone in it”
