Obituary of Lawrence Michael Dooley

Lawrence Michael Dooley, Executive General Manager for Tucks Trucks GMC passed away peacefully and on his own terms after an extended battle with cancer on Saturday afternoon, August 3, 2019. Surrounded by family.  He was 66 years old.  Larry was born in Cambridge.  He was one of 2 sons born to Bill and Peg Dooley.  He grew up in Arlington and was a graduate of Arlington High School.

The best way to describe Larry was that he was a man with a “Huge Heart”. He was always willing to help anyone in need and never wanted any recognition for it.   He had an incredible connection with all his, doctors, nurses, aids, and anyone else even slightly involved in his care.  When he found out that his doctor, Peter Marcello, had to raise his own funds for researching colorectal cancer, from his hospital bed, Larry immediately went to work on a charity golf tournament.  For the last 2 years, he has had that tournament at the Four Oaks Country Club in Dracut.  He drew all his strength to be there on July 15th to make sure the tournament was a success.  Three weeks later he passed.  Larry was a man devoted to his family.  His nieces, Meghan and Colleen were like his children.  There are so many others in his life that he loved and cared for. He was truly a special man who touched the hearts of so many during his lifetime.

Larry was the loving companion of Mary Lou Harding of Lowell. He was the beloved son of Bill and Peg Dooley of Derry, NH. He was the brother of Stephen Dooley & his wife Maryellen of Derry, NH. He was the uncle of Meghan Dooley, Colleen Dooley, Warren Harding, Denver Miller, Holly Miller, Megan Petrucelli, Krissy Wilder, Jessie Sullivan, Steven Bentley, Dominic and Izzy Boyle.
