Every morning when I pushed aside my curtains, there was Bob's car parked across the street. I could set my clock by him.
Summer heat, rain, snow, sleet..... the weather didn't matter. He was there every day either putting his granddaughter in the car going off to daycare, standing waiting for the school bus to arrive or be arriving back from a walk with the dogs. I would even sometimes catch him bringing Dunkin Donuts coffee into the house for all to enjoy. When his car wasn't there, I would hope that everything was alright...but like clockwork, he was there the next day.
Our occasional short chats were always just that, short light hearted chats. Just a few minutes catch up on things and then he was off.
He was a steady part of my daily routine and I will surely miss seeing him each and every day.
