My sincere condolences to the Ingeme family. I grew up next door to them in the 70s and 80s and remember John very well. I have many childhood memories with he and his family. I'm saddened by his passing and wish I knew it in time to pay my respects in person...

To the Ingeme family, my sincere condolences on this loss. John was a very caring man who I had the pleasure of knowing through our similar career paths. I provided services to Rosemary as an infant and small child and can only say that her well being was John's first and highest priority. John, you did your job extremely well. I am pleased to have known you and your family and I know you will be greatly missed. You are the type of person this world needs more of. Rest in Peace my friend, you have certainly earned it

My first memory of John. - We were in our late teens in the Fall of 1959. I was on my way into Boston with Robert P. We were going to a college party up on Beacon Hill. It was Robert’s freshmen year in College and he had lots of new friends. Robert told me that we had to pick up John Ingeme in Medford. We drove to Albin St and picked up John. We exchanged greetings. Before I started to drive I turned to Robert and said where too. He said, let’s go to Beacon Hill and Party. I said what about Jimmy, where do we pick him up. Robert said Jimmy, Jimmy who? Do you see where this is going? Robert said John Ingeme, I heard John an’ Jimmy. We had a good laugh over that and we continued on to the Party. We went to lots of parties (week after week) up on Beacon Hill.
Fast forward a few (?) months - One day John asks me if it’s okay if he calls my sister, Rosemarie, and ask’s her out on a date. Well the rest is history.
I’m not going to say too much more because its been said in the obituary on this web sit. My hat’s off to whoever wrote it, because It covers his life, his accomplishment and his love for those in need.
John and my sister dedicated their lives to provide young Rosemarie a loving sanctuary.
I always enjoyed his laugh.
He will be missed.

Papa was a great man always knew how to make me smile as. I remember he always would say he was playing on the playground with me my friends in school and that he was going to steal all my toy. I used to yell at him and say papa I didn’t see you at school stop joking. Anna my younger sister would call him the crusty old man because of the crusty crab on sponge bob. Rip papa you will always be in my heart .

To the Ingeme family, I am so sorry for your loss. Please know, we were all so blessed to have him in our lives. I had the privilege of working alongside of John for many years in home care. He provided exemplary care to all he helped. John’s sense of humor was his hallmark that set him apart from others. What a gift he was to every life he touched! God bless you John. It’s your time to Rest In Peace.
