My condolences to the Hughes family Mark,Chris,Allison,Jeff,Deb,Rich,Jean and Paul. I have enjoyed these past few years being able get to know your mom.It was such a pleasure being able to spend time with Mark and your mom specially when we would bring her up to his place and we always would have her favorite for dinner spaghetti. I read that her giggles is a memory that a lot of us have.it was so contagious you couldn’t keep from laughing yourself. What a lovely memory that she made so many people laugh. I loved seeing Nancy and her best childhood friend Aunt Jean at her 90 th Birthaday what a special day. Your so fortunate to have your mom for so many wonderful years.Memories and Traditions are what families are all about.
Love to you all and thank you for allowing me to be part of your family.
Love Rhonda Owen

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your mom. The will, strength, love and compassion had for her was inspiring. It’s what any mother would dream about from there child. The places you took her, care you gave her and the love you showed to her shows how much she means to you. The memories you both have will live on forever

Jean,
Watching you care, advocate for, love and do all that you did to keep your Mom engaged and connected and so importantly, in her own home, shows the true meaning of devotion and love. She didn't have a fiercer, more committed to her welfare warrior than you. You were her hope, her happiness and her light.
It's tough and hard and so very ironic that you couldn't be there to bring her to the finish line, Jean, but my God, how lucky she was to have you in her corner. No one gave of themselves as much as you.
There's a special place for children who honor their parents as you have.
Well done, Jean.
My favorite memory of her was her giggles. Most of the memories I have of her, in the apartment, laughing.
Laughing at you, or Travis. I loved the sound of her giggles
So much love to you.♥️ and to her.
Lots of love to you

It’s so surreal waiting to hear that your mother has died. We said our goodbyes yesterday and the Chaplain said prayers. I sang to her “Jesus loves you”.
No call overnight, restless sleep, trying to recall pleasant memories but there haven’t been many these past years. Alzheimer’s, the “long goodbye”. The call finally came 5:38 Sunday. Love you Mom, say Hi to Dad. ❤️

To my dearest friend, Jean;
I am so deeply sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. She was like a second mother to me when we were teenagers and put up with our shenanigans. I have many fond memories of her the most poignant being our visit in the nursing home. She belonged among flowers and kittens surrounded by the laughter of those she loved most. I can still hear her giggle. You and the kids gave that to her always even when things got hard. You fought so hard for her my sweet friend; I believe she knows that. I like to think she is happy surrounded by kittens and flowers once again. Deep peace and all my love to you and the kids.

Jean,
I’m very sorry for your loss, my dear friend. Your mom was a special lady and was so lucky to have you. You were always there for her. You made sure she was safe and well. I love that she would often join our group at our girl get-togethers at your house. I love that she was happy and would giggle at silly photos and videos that we would show her. I especially love that you fought so hard to keep her in her own home. I’m sure she is watching over you and beaming with pride. Love you!

Alley, I have so many good memories of your Mom, but the best one I must
admit is how you cared for her in her later years. Your genuine, selfless, loving
compassion you had for your Mother. Taking care of her with such a good sense of humor,
making her feel so loved and wanted. The companionship you gave her every weekend,
and the many, many mornings and evenings before and after work. You pampered her
and took care of her like a Mother would take care of a beloved Child. I saw the true Love
you had for your Mother. Hold that dear Alley, know that she to, also knows it now.
With Love,
Debbie DeVincent
