My deepest condolences to the Carlsen family. George was good man and a good friend. I first met him in 1984 when we both were elected to serve on the GCIU General Board. We were friends ever since. I admired him as a strong, smart union leader who taught me a lot. May he Rest In Peace. George Tedeschi GCC/IBT President Emeritus & IBT Vice President

I was so sorry to hear we all lost a true friend. George was dedicated to is family. He relished the times he was with his grandchildren and loved telling stories of his children when they were young. He fell in love with his wife Barbara the day he met her and knew she was"the One".
George was truly a leader for the people and anyone that met him knew of his passion and love for the Union.
He was one of a kind, a true gentleman and a great Man. He will be missed by all and forgotten by none.

A good man died yesterday.
It’s still hard to believe that you are gone. We're so grateful for the years we got to have and the experiences we got to share together ... All the trips to Canobie Lake Park, all the meals at the food court, all the scratch tickets, all the great conversations, all the rides with ‘the boys’ in the Buick, all the cribbage games, all of it. We're thankful for every moment we were allowed with you. Each was a precious gift.
It’s going to be tough getting used to not having you around anymore, but we will have to. Just know that it was, as we used to say, “Always a pleasure!!”
We love you, Grampy ❤️
