This link will direct you to the live stream of the Mass at 10 AM on Monday, Sept 14
Lisa (Abbondanza) Monteiro passed away at her home with her family by her side, on Thursday morning, September 10, 2020. She was 53 years old. Lisa was born in Boston. She was the daughter of the late Anthony and Maria “Michelina” Abbondanza. Lisa was raised in the North End of Boston. She was a graduate of St. Clements High School in Somerville.
Lisa had a long and successful career as an Executive Administrative Assistant at Fidelity for 30 years. She worked in Merrimack NH for a year and for 29 years at the Boston Office. With her great logic, organizational and people skills it was the perfect job for Lisa. She made many friendships throughout her years at Fidelity.
Lisa’s greatest joy were her two daughters Michela and Cristina. Lisa was a single mom and she made sure her two daughters did not want for anything. With the help of her parents, she juggled the logistics of childcare, worked a full-time job, managed her household and raised two beautiful daughters. Lisa lived in Somerville for several years and in 2005 she moved to Burlington.
Lisa enjoyed spending time in the summer at the Lakes Region in New Hampshire and during the cold winter months nothing gave her more pleasure than her trips to Orlando in Florida. Lisa enjoyed going to dinner with her daughters, spending time with her family and working in her garden. She treasured every moment she spent with her friends and family. Lisa will be remembered as a kind, bubbly, and vivacious woman.
Lisa was the beloved mother of Michela & her fiancé Patrick Robbins of Randolph and Cristina of Burlington. Daughter of the late Anthony and Maria “Michelina” Abbondanza. Sister of Angela Nogueira & Bill Galatis of Saugus, Rosa & Steve Evans of Burlington, Joanna Hoey of Burlington, and the late Joseph Abbondanza & his wife Annette. Aunt of Frank & Roseann Nogueira, Anthony Abbondanza, Christopher Evans, Sean, Jordan, & Jillian Hoey. Loving companion of Duncan Keidaish of NH. Also survived by many friends and longtime Fidelity coworkers. Visiting hours will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn Street, Burlington on Sunday September 13 from 3-6 p.m. Funeral from the Sullivan Funeral Home on Monday, September 14 at 9 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Margaret Church of St. Veronica Parish, 111 Winn St., Burlington at 10 a.m. Services will conclude with a burial in Pine Haven Cemetery, Burlington.
