To the McCabe family I am sending my thoughts and prayers.
I just learned of Marguerite's passing and wanted to share some of my memories from our many years of friendship.
We had several mutual friends and shared parties, dances and when Marguerite, Jack, my husband Harry and I belonged to 2 snow mobile clubs in Mass. and N.H.
We would go out on our machines for hours at a time and when they stayed with us at our home in Laconia we would walk out the door hop on our machines and be gone all day and returned for dinner and lots of wine.
My favorite was at the Castle in the Clouds and Marguerite decided to follow the men on the side of a hill and I thought no way not me but when she did it I had no other choice but to follow her.
She was not afraid to try anything and even went off the trail down a steep hill and we had to get the smallest guy in our group to hike down and drive her machine up hill.
I did see her and Jack a few times at the COA and it was when Jack was ill and he talked to me about it, he was so positive and strong, a very special man.
I am sure they are together again and watching over their beautiful family.
Love and Peace,
Helena Enos

Marguerite and Jack were my next door neighbors when I was a boy in Burlington. They were pleasant and friendly people who were very patient with all the normal little kid shenanigans in the neighborhood. Marguerite was very generous, always supporting any hockey team or Boy Scout fundraising. I remember Jack as an avid outdoorsman who as I got older at times lent me maps and gear for hiking excursions in the White Mountains. Good people. My deepest condolences to the extended McCabe family. If I were not overseas, I would absolutely attend services to honor Marguerite. -Andrew Gourgoumis

There are TOO many memories of my other mother. I wouldn't even begin to know where to start. My heart hurts but at the same time I know where she is. Jack and Mom are finally together again. Rest in peace, mom. Thank you for taking me under your wing. Love forever, Other Daughter
