I am so sorry to see that Nancy passed, she was a bright spirit who lit the halls of the senior center when she was here. I saw her at Shaws shortly before the shutdown and we had a lovely talk, although I was sorry to here she hadn't been well. I have missed her over the years since she and Bill stopped coming to the senior center and I think of her often.
My deepest sympathies to all of you.
Best
Marge McDonald

8/26/2020 Nancy's Eulogy
Hello Everyone,
Honestly, I was not sure I could do this today, because for the past week I felt "BROKEN". But I know Nancy would want me to say something...so here goes:
First of all, she would want me to thank you all for coming here today. As we all know Nancy loved a gathering and I am certain that she is looking down, smiling, happy that you all could make it.
She would want me to thank Joan for helping when I couldn't...she would want me to thank Tommy for his friendship...she would want me to thank Barbara K. for being her friend and caring for her. She would want me to thank Billy and Joanna for visiting and she would want me to thank Dr. Baltus for saving her life over and over again.
Nancy and I met on April 7th, 1997. Every day and every year since our friendship grew. She became important to me and I became important to her. Nancy became part of my family and I became part of hers. Nancy became my American mom. How lucky can one be for having two moms (gemellies) twins in Italian, as Nancy and my mom would call themselves!
Moving from Albania to America was not easy for me, different cultures, different customs, different worlds, but Nancy made it easy. She made me feel welcome!
She helped when David was born because my mom's visa was denied, she even helped me with my first resume.
In time Nancy became my #1fan, she was always supportive and proud, when I felt low she raised me high, when I needed her she was always there.
My lasting memories of Nancy are simple...she was strong, patient, great attitude, and she was loved, and honestly I feel honored and privileged to have met her, and to have been part of her life.
Nancy was not afraid of dying and she was thankful and grateful that she made it to 80.
I will miss her hugs, our talks, and most of all her laugh and smile.
Sadly on September 19th, 2020, at 4:35 a.m. I lost my neighbor, friend, confidant, advisor and a mother, but with all the sorrow and pain, I still feel blessed because that morning I gained a FIERCE ANGEL.
If roses grow in Heaven
God please pick a bunch for me
Place them in Nancy's arms
And tell her they're from me
Tell her I love her and I miss her
And when she turns to smile
Place a kiss upon her cheek
And hold her for a while
Because remembering her is easy
I do it every day
But there's an ache within my heart
That will never go away.
Dear American mom, rest in peace, and I know you are finally with Bill, mom and dad, and of course Scotty too. I love you forever and ever and one day I am sure we will meet again❤.

Nancy was a great neighbor. Even though I don’t live in the neighborhood anymore, when I did, she was always out in her backyard watering her flowers and would always stop to say hi to my mother and I when we went for walks.
Sincerest condolences go out to her family.

I had the pleasure of having my dear friend Nancy in my life for 26 years. She was one of the most genuine and kind hearted people I have ever met. I looked forward to our Wednesday afternoon chats that were always filled with laughs. The holidays won’t be the same without receiving one of her clever Christmas Cards. They were something special. May she Rest In Peace with her beloved Bill. XO

Nancy, better known as "Ma", was one of my favorite customers. She referred to me always as, "Son", and it felt like I really was. She was one of the kindest people I have ever met. All of my crew members over the past 25 years we have spent working in Nancy's yard adored her. We were all saddened to hear the news of her passing, but the hugs, compliments, hot chocolates during snow storms, and the smile she always wore will never be forgotten. We will all salute her with a toast and heartfelt thanks for the memorable years we were blessed to have known her. I will always have "Ma" in my prayers and my memories. Rest in Peace, "Ma".
Love,
Chris Stein ("Son")
