My sincere sympathy to the O'Callaghan family, especially Brian. Your dad was such a pleasant man, always smiling. I enjoyed his Irish sense of humor. Your dad was also very compassionate and helpful. While he was serving as an usher at St. Mary's, my mom had a minor medical event. He came swiftly to our aid and stayed with us until the EMTs arrived. He was so gracious that day. I will keep him in my prayers. He is with God now, no doubt. God Bless.
With Sympathy,
Mary Doyle

Ann, Stephen, Joanne, Brian and Yvonne, sending our love and sympathies to you today. So sorry we can’t be there. Steve O’Callaghan was a total rock star and a legend. We enjoyed his company so much, when Steve was in the room there was always a bit of craic and jokes. When himself and Ann stayed with us in Dublin at marathon time, he couldn’t help stay up chatting all night with Diarmaid. Always the life and soul, we’ll miss him dearly, biggest hugs to you all. Dee, Diarmaid, Déithín and Réiltín xxxx

Steve and Ann introduced myself and my sister to the delights of tuna and mayonnaise when we stayed with them in 1980 in Tralee. Find memories of Steve and the whole family. Over the years, several of my cousins who were not directly related to Steve or Ann stayed with them in Tralee or Boston. They also remember Steve and Ann fondly and were forever grateful for tgeur hospitality ,join de vive and caneraderie with many reminiscences regarding Steves's kindness and versatility on stage. Although U hadn't seen Steve in many years, he will be fondly remembered.

Steve, my sympathies to you and your family on the loss of your father. He was a good guy who did a lot to support the Billerica IA. I met Steve when his family moved from the "Abbey" housing estate to Kevin Barry Villas in 1950. We were neighbors until 1957 when I left for Boston. Steven came to Boston in 1962 to join the Terry Landers band and was a great addition, he was a great musician. We were great friends. A bunch of Tralee guys got together a few times a year to play cards and always had a lot of laughs. Steve was blessed with his wonderful wife Tralee born Ann. He had great kids and grandchildren. It is not going to be the same at the card games without Steve bluffing with his pair of duces. Rest in Peace my dear friend, you made the world a better place with your presence.
P.S. You were my wife Joanne's favorite dance partner.
Love to Anne and family

All love and sympathy to Ann and children and grandkids, to all the O’Callaghan siblings and families, and to anyone who loved Stevie.
I have an especially fond memory of Stevie on the 4th of July. He and Ann came to stay with Mike and Patty at their shore house, and the whole family got together for a cookout. After dinner, Stevie regaled us with a medley of George M. Cohan songs. He sang them with such heart, and with a love of country that is oftentimes a bit keener in those who adopt America as their country. Mike joined him on “drums”, playing the counter. It was the best way of celebrating the 4th of July that I could think of. I was delighted to find the very same rendition on this page, and it moved me to tears the way it had when Stevie sang it for us on the 4th.
Rest In Peace.

Steve's daughter said it best "he was a wonderful man". My family and I were lucky to call Steve a neighbor for 35 years but he was also a great friend. Any time we saw Steve on Allen Place we were greeted with a smile and he was quick to strike up a conversation. He had a great sense of humor and had the ability to brighten anyone's day with a simple conversation. Steve is now with God but will be missed terribly. Ann, Steven, Joanne, Brian, and Yvonne please know you will remain in our daily thoughts and prayers. May memories sustain and provide you with comfort during this challenging time. With deepest sympathy,
The Jacobson Family

We were shocked and very sorry to hear this awful news. Mr. Okie was a big part of my childhood and young adulthood. From watching young Steve and I play dinky cars in the back yard to when we appointed ourselves his roadies as the Wild Irish Rovers toured the state, Mr. Okie was always kind and quick with a joke, a song or a beer (often all three). His is a great example to follow and we'll all miss him. Much love and sympathy to Mrs. Okie, Steve, Joanne, Brian, Yvonne and the rest of the family.

Thank You so much for being such a great friend and mentor for all these years. We played a lot of music together over the years but I think we had more laughs, than notes. Just the other day I mentioned to Steve that Ginny and I would like to meet up with you and Ann for a walk around CastleIsland. From now on when we go out there you’ll always be with us.
Again Thank You my friend. I Love You I’ll Miss You but you’ll always be in my heart.
May God Bless You and May You R.I.P.
