An odd feeling led me here tonight.
Paul spoke at the first AA meeting I showed up at in Addison, TX in 1993. I was in my early 20's, drinking, partying way too much and heading rapidly in the wrong direction. After hearing Paul speak, I'm not sure if I chose him or he chose me, but he became my sponsor. Paul took me under his wing, gave me an opportunity to work on a project he was invested in northern CO, pointed me in the direction of a local meeting when I got there and allowed me a fresh start in life.
My heart is heavy with sadness tonight finding out of Paul's passing.
My heart felt sympathies go out to the entire family and all who where touched by this man's time on earth.
