I knew Ankoor from when he was my room mate at MIT in 1967 till when I left Boston at the end of 1969. I shared his flat until he got married to Rohiini! He was a good friend and we did a lot of interesting things together. I tries to get in touch with him in recent years without success. Very sorry to hear of his passing. Ian Glass.

In tribute to a dear friend who introduced me to European wines, European cheeses and European cars - and of course we shared an interest in Western Classical music, hence this musical tribute.
He loved to live life!

I first met Ankoor many years ago when my son Sean first started dating Ankoor's daughter Monica. I found it easy to talk to Ankoor since we were both engineers who shared some common interests, like an appreciation for good music and fine whiskey. We also had many interesting conversations about the places that we had each traveled to, including my trips to India.
Ankoor was a kind and humble man who also happened to be a brilliant scholar, a fact that he never boasted about during our discussions of the topics of the day. I will miss our conversations over summer dinners in Maine and in the kitchen at Kevin and Sheph's house every Christmas Eve. It was a privilege to be able to call Ankoor not only my in-law, but also my friend.

Ankoor was a wonderful and caring person who will be sorely missed. He always took the time and focus to really get to know you. Even though I’d only get to see him a few times each year, he immediately remembered everything I had going on in my life (work, cars, the last scotch we talked about). He was always genuinely interested in conversation and the people around him and we always looked forward to seeing him around the holidays. My love and condolences to the entire Bodhe family.

Simply put, my father in-law was a kind, thoughtful, generous, and genuine man. Since I first met him as a kid taking his daughter to prom, he was always eager to ask how school or my job was going and how my parents and brother and family were doing. He was a brilliant guy who knew so much about so many topics but was always more interested in having a conversation and learning about what you thought or what you were interested in. Years ago when I started a career in online marketing, a few weeks later I saw that he had bought a book about Google and learned all about it so he could chat about my new job. He loved listening to classical and jazz (always a little too loud till the girls made us turn it down!) and having a good glass of whiskey (a generous pour of Irish whiskey for his Irish son in-law). He loved art and architecture, great food and drink, and traveling to Europe and especially India. His love for experiencing the world was contagious and made me want to experience more of it as well. He was just a really sweet person who loved life and the people around him. I am a better person for having known him and he will be greatly missed.

As Ankoor's neighbor, we would often stand in the yards and discuss the problems of the world and the current happenings of our respective children.
While we never arrived at any worldly solutions, the discussions were a pleasant way to pass some time.
He will be missed
