So many precious memories of Tom pass through y mind & heart: his most consistent love for truth & all things just in the heart and mind of God – our shared catholic Faith, politics, finance, health, his philosophy on sports; how long it took me to figure out 'yahgut' was 'yogurt'; he was of the few who really appreciated sharing a few cups of my homemade mountain wild berry brew; how unassumingly he loved, respected and thought highly of all his family members; his hugs that uniquely had a quality of timelessness, a depth of inner strength and guilelessness; his gift of spontaneous insightful meditations into every aspect of Mother Mary's life with Jesus in the rosaries we would share on the road to Mass or shopping in Lewiston. I believe and told him a crown of martyrdom is his in heaven for suffering ultimately the isolation of this plague 'business'. Special thanks to Robert, Joann and Kathy for keeping me in touch with Tom this last year. God's PEACE be with you ALL!. Fran Barnes

Rest In Peace Uncle Tom! I’m more than grateful for the time we spent together. Such fond memories of spending the weekends with you, I’ll always appreciate how involved you were with us. We never felt like a burden to you, there was always a game to play or basketball skills to work on. I probably would have never picked up a tennis racket if it weren’t for you. I’m especially grateful for the cousins, they always felt more like siblings. You always made the kids feel equal. Childhood would have never been the same without the Connors. Last week my parents and I spent some time on the phone reminiscing about Tom and what a good man he was. We love you…

I will always be grateful to have had uncle Tom in my life, despite the fact he had 4 children to raise uncle tom welcomed me into his home from 3 to 5 with open arms, including me into his morning routine, of shaving and morning stretches, uncle tom had advocated for me to get into gymnastics and taught me how to play tennis. I will always remember uncle Tom as a steadfast and a stoic man, with an easy going way about him,, I am forever grateful for his time and company, my uncle Tom will be missed greatly. I love you uncle Tom

Today, my cousin Tom Connors passed away . He was living in Florida. For many years he was a resident of Peabody, Ma. Tom, my cousin Walter and I were like the three amigos. While growing up we played just about every sports game you knew or could create. Tom was always a little better than Walter and much better than me. Our games were more than fun. They made us champions. Tom was quieter than us but he had a good sense of humor and nice personality. Tom was a real competitive person. He played to win and that helped us improve our games. After the games we were still cousins and friends. The three of us went through the progression of education. Employment , service to country and marriage. After marriages we all went in separate directions but would often come together on special family events. Tom was always a person I looked forward to seeing . His passing will leave a space in our trio. However the goood memories we had through the years will always be there.
