Sadly I heard of Paul’s passing recently. My belated condolences to Chuck Donna and the entire Marren family.
I worked for Paul in the 80’s when he was 2nd level Supervisor in the Chelmsford garage. A highly respected and well liked boss, Being the Union steward in the garage I had to deal with some bumpy situations that Paul handled with fairness in all of our dealings. We discussed Celtics more than company issues most times. He loved Larry Bird.
A good man and a true gentleman in every sense of the word. RIP Paul you will be missed.

Maria Di Russo. I moved on Macon Road In 1961, right after the two “M” & “M”. ‘S . the Mahoney ‘s and the “Marren’s. in fact the whole street did. I lived right near where Paul and “The Bev” worked in Somerville, Come to think about , The whole Street came from Somerville, Cambridge, Dorchester, at the that time, we all talked alike, Same darn sayings, lived on to this day! We all were young, never locked our doors, It was a real family Street! And now Sad to see all the Joy we all had , the Holidays, births, , Yes, Birthdays, First Days of School’s, Each one of us Had to face our parents and family members move to their Heavenly Home. Paul and “The Bev”, Always had Paul’s Father and Mother up and Mr Marren, became to be called Loving, “ DUB A DABBA” , They gave him the job to clean the corn, on the 4th of July, outside the house, Only words were When he had to clean up was just that! When he passed away, the name was passed down to Paul,, My twin lived across the street, she had two children, they had two names for Paul, one was the one I just mentioned, the other was —- “SUDS” !!!! Rob was one near Two years old, Johanna would put him to be in the summer at 7p m, crib near the window, he would cry out that window”SUDS COME GET ME, SUDS PLEASE” ! Paul would open a beer as he watered his lawn, the beer was bubbling on top, come and take Rob out and finish watering, And gave him the bubbles from the beer, to this day. Sail on, wind At your Sails, your ocean has become calm, there are love ones at the Shoreline , Macon Road has been your home, Rest In Peace, Chuck, Christmas was alway in July, when you came home on leave! Remember the Tree put up in the sunroom once! Lights in all, The winter the kids had snow one winter you were home, the big Snow Lady, Johanna put a big dress on her,
