I just learned of losing Ron today. Ron and I were not in the same crowd growing up in Burlington but being in school together there are two things I remember about him: his love of anything mechanical and wanting to know how it worked and being a totally nice guy who never had a bad word about anyone. I am so sorry for your loss, and my condolences to all Ron's family and friends

I grew up with Ronnie and his brothers on Barnum road I remember the serious fall he took off a skateboard thankfully my parents were doing yard work and they're able to come to his aid he was a tough kid though so he survived it and I also remember him doing work for my mother in her later years when the house needed a lot of repairs it was a great guy I just found out about this may he rest in peace

I wish I could have gotten a chance to know Uncle Ronnie better but from what I knew of him he was a very kind hearted man. I always felt welcome when around him and there was usually a smile on his face. I know he will be greatly missed and pray as the Family draws closer to God in this hard time that they would be Comforted by the Lords abundant peace!

Ronnie is a person who thinks of others, finds out what their interests are and has the backs of his friends.
I'm Ron's brother-in-law but he was more like a brother to me. We live in Virginia and whenever Ron came to visit he always wanted to be sure that before he left we did something that I enjoyed. On one of his visits he insisted on treating me to hanggliding and we had a wonderful day.
He also knew that my favorite dessert is lemon meringue pie, so he would call my wife, Gail, wanting to know when she had made the last one and how soon she could make the next one, saying that he had to look out for his bro. He even went so far as to commission my teenage daughter to make pie on one of his visits.
Ron had a generous heart. Another thing that he loved to do when he came to visit was to take our daughter to her favorite store (at that time), "Forever 21" and tell her to pick out an outfit on him while he and I sat on a bench and waited "Forever."
On one of his last conversations with Gail he told her to give me a hug from him. Like I said, he was more like a brother to me.

Uncle Ronnie, where to even begin. Uncle Ronnie was the kind of man you could go to for anything. Whether you needed someone to talk to, someone who would shoot straight with you, or just a good laugh, he was always happy to be there for the people he loved. He was encouraging, kind, honest, and just plain fun to be around.
I think some of my favorite memories with Uncle Ron were hanging around the campfire, making s'mores, and joking about anything and everything. He could always find the humor in the little things of life and help others find it too. He made the world a better place simply by being in it, and he will be forever missed.
I pray that the Lord will grant all those who knew Uncle Ron a special measure of grace and comfort during the days ahead. God bless you all.

Uncle Ronnie was a wonderful man, He was always up for good conversation and always had something hilarious but also insightful to say, he was very loyal to his friends and family and I don't think that there was anything he wouldn't do for them if they needed it. I will miss hanging out with him and Ziva.
Love you uncle Ronnie.

Ronald J. Ostroski, or Uncle Ron, as I knew him. The Uncle Ron I knew was kindhearted, fun-loving, and good-natured. He was always more interested in hearing how someone else was doing than he was in talking about himself. I recall a conversation from after he had fallen from the ladder and was going through physical therapy and immense pain. I called to see how he was doing and after a brief few questions of me checking in on him he cut me off to say (in his Boston accent): “Enough about what I’ve got going on, tell me about you, you got a girlfriend yet?” I was 13 at the time I believe. And then we continued to talk about my life and what was new till we ended our conversation.
That’s how I remember Uncle Ron, he took the punches life through his way and decided to keep moving forward, to be cheerful and a blessing to all those around him, and to never lose his sense of humor. I will miss him very much and I pray that all who had the distinct pleasure of knowing Uncle Ron would find peace and comfort during this time of loss. God Bless.

Ronnie always made me laugh. He was very talented and built a beautiful patio and firepit, a walkway and a palace dog house for Ziva, who he loved dearly. I will miss him and I know the rest of the family will too. God bless you Ronnie.

Ron was a wonderful guy and a great person. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. We were great friends in our youth and sadly didn’t keep in touch after High School. Having not seen him in so long I can only think of him as a happy, fun, teenager. The world has lost a a very good person. My sincere condolences to the entire Ostroski family.
Sincerely,
David D’Onofrio

Dear Ray, Rich, Donna, Gail and Bobby - I fondly think of Ronny as the energetic, mischievous boy next door who was more like a big brother to me than a neighbor. He loved to tease those of us who were younger than him, but would also make us laugh; however, if there was ever trouble brewing, he was quick to jump in as one of our protectors. I pray you are all comforted by memories of joyful times shared together with him. Lovingly, Deb Tenore Shannon xoxo
