I went to nursing school with Janet MANY years ago. I was glancing through the Boston Globe, which I never do, nevermind the obituaries, and I was shocked to run across Mr. Waite. I don't know if I recognized his picture from when I met him years ago or if I thought who's this handsome man that looks like Henry Fonda. Then I read the obituary. Janet, I am so sorry for you and your mom and sister for your loss. I remember how nice your parents were. How awesome it is that he got to enjoy so many years of retirement and enjoy his hobbies and family. I just wanted to pass along my condolences and I hope you find some peace in a life well lived and many beautiful memories. Thinking of you, Lori Brooks Michaud - Attleboro

I'm so glad my father was able to share his love of the water and of sailing with me and my family. I remember a book he liked to read aloud to my sister and me when we were kids. It was "The Wind in the Willows" by Kenneth Grahame and he had a favorite passage he would often recite. "Believe me, my young friend, there is nothing --- absolutely nothing --- half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats." I imagine it is the reason why my own children, David and Andrea, took sailing lessons as kids. Thanks, Warren!

We send our sincere sympathy to all family & friends. S0 wish we were closer to attend memorial service, but our hearts and thoughts will be there. Uncle Warren was such a special and thoughtful man over his years. Many, many memories! Loved the moments we all had when he and Betty came to our 50th anniversary gathering in NH plus celebrated their 65th anniversary at that party. Our best to Aunt Betty! Love, Martha & Rick
