But your dead will live: their bodies will rise. You who dwell in the dust, wake up and shout for joy. Your dew is like the dew of the morning; the earth will give birth to her dead. Isaiah 26:19
I am very sad to hear that Michael will not be temporarily with us. But we all have hope to see him again, and next time will be for eternity! He was one of the nicest gentlemen I have ever met. Very honest and always helping all of us. My deepest condolences to his family, and God be with all.
Respectfully,
Ismael Valenzuela

Mike was a gifted teacher who had great passion for his students and for the importance of vocational education. I was always pleased to visit his classroom and confer on special programs his students could benefit from.He not only spoke a good game, yes Mike could go on and on, but he acted on those issues. A solid union man and great sports fan, Mike will be missed.

The words that I have read in his obituary and from friends are spot on. I particularly like where I read that he was a “deeply happy man who lived an incredibly full life”. He was not pursuing happiness he was living it… It was with that character that he became first a great listener, then a mentor, coach, teacher, friend and a true brother to so many…

I loved mikey so much. He was like an uncle to me. I could talk to Mikey about anything and everything. He was the person I turned to when I need a pick me up. He constantly made me laugh and I valued his life experience because I often went to him for advice. Mikey I love you and will miss you so so much. You were in my kitchen this past November and we chatted about life like two old friends do.. If I knew it was the last time I would see you I would of hugged you tighter❤️

Ann Marie, Michael, Laura and entire Viggiano Family;
I've known Michael about 60 years. We lived and grew up together in Jamaica Plain. we played baseball and basketball at Jefferson Park near the Hennigan school, we played pool and bowled at The Hyde Square bowling alley's, graduated from Boston Tech together and saw many Celtic's, Bruins and Red Sox games together. We even saw our High School win the Tech Tourney in 69 at Boston Garden. After high school Michael was a Vietnam Veteran in the U.S. Army and I stayed in touch writing him letters. In the late 70's and early 80's he coached and played in The" Bernie Curley" basketball league at the Mary Curley school in J.P. Then Michael met Ann Marie , the love of his life.
Michael loved telling jokes, picking others up when you were feeling down. He believed in Peace not war, respect for others, and always kept me on the right path. You are "my brother" and I love you. I will always keep you in my heart.
Ann Marie, it is amazing all the wonderful compliments written about Michael. I believe all of it! Just know how much Michael loves you and his children. He would always tell me
The Fandel Family sends you our sincerest condolences

I worked with Mike at Madison Park and loved this man. His warmth, sense of humor, dignity, dedication, and authentic compassion for students contributed to the love that was returned to him. We learned at one point that we had both graduated from Boston Technical High School at about the same time. That made it easy to discuss the changes in education and the extra challenges that students face today. He could hold students attention whether he was setting limits and requesting them to expect more of themselves or chatting with them about the vagaries of baseball. The world is a smaller place without him. The gifts he gave to us as his colleagues and, to his many students, will shine on. Happy Trails pal.

To the family of a sweet man. Michael Viggiano was a wonderful teacher at Madison Park Tech Voc High. I was a central office administrator who worked with him on rules, regs., curricula, etc. He was always professional and enthusiastic and willing to try new things in his "shop." The students liked him as did his fellow teachers. His classroom and program was one we always liked to show to visiting VIPs. It was always a pleasure to work with Mike. My thoughts are with his family at this sad time. Jean Michaels, Boston.

So sorry to hear and our heart goes out to the Viggiano family. We enjoyed our talks with Mike who was always in his yard puttering around. Headphone on "Listening to tunes man!", he'd say while working. We reminisce about growing up in Boston, but different neighborhoods. He enjoyed working with the young men in his classes and on his baseball team. He was proud of them. I had a teacher in high school whom Mike reminded me of who cared, encouraged and instilled confidence in me to follow the skill that I had to succeed in and followed through with it. I'm sure he had a number of young men do the same. If there was a holiday you'd get a text from Mike wishing you a merry Christmas, happy New Year, etc..Mike also, played softball in the Men's fun league for a number of years, where as a teammate he was fun and fielded his position. My yellow Lab Mollie was very tentative with adults, but she sensed his kind heart and trustworthiness and went right to Mike from day 1. You will be missed by all Mike. Rest in peace my friend.
