If you scroll to the bottom of this article on my Burlington history site, you'll see a "certificate of honor" for a Claire M. Murphy at Saint Charles in Woburn. But it's dated 1934. Is there any connection? Also, the proprietor of the Grey Squirrel restaurant/bar in Burlington was C.W. Murphy. That bar is now a household, and that's where the residents found the Claire Murphy certificate in the attic. She did attend St. Charles in Woburn. But her middle name began with a T and she was born in 1935. So I don't think there is a connection.

Mom- you will be greatly missed but I know you are in a better place. Your unconditional love, devotion, and care will be with me forever. I will always be grateful for the sacrifices you made for our family and the lessons of forgiveness. I hope that I live a life that will make you proud. Chris, Carolyn, Colleen, and Dennis, I'm so sorry about your mother's passing. I have nothing but great memories of both your mother and father from when we were kids. They always made me feel like part of the family and were so easy to talk to. We had a lot of laughs and simple good times back then and thinking about those days always makes me smile. Chris, Carolyn, Colleen, and Dennis, I am so sorry to hear of your wonderful mother's passing. Aunt Claire always had a beautiful smile and was so kind. She had a special way of making people feel good when around her. Her suffering is over. I believe she now is celebrating a fabulous reunion with Uncle Jack, our grandparents, and her many siblings, including my dad. She has left a legacy of a life well-lived. Love, Kate Martin
