Ryan was such a beloved friend throughout my life and I am so grateful to have spent so much time hanging out with him as I grew up. I fondly remember brisk autumn days as a child when Ryan and Auntie would come over to our house - it was always exciting to have visits from them. Ryan and I would spend hours outside playing new games that we invented. Every time he came over, we would create a new game to play that would incorporate several sports in creative ways - I had some of the best fun in my life hanging out with Ryan. He was always such a kind and good-spirited friend and I will miss him and his joyous laughter dearly.

So sad, Ryan was a wonderful person and even better friend. From gymnastics to hockey we had such a blast. My favorite memory is after not seeing him for many years I ran into him where I lived in Portland Maine and we got to catch up and have lunch. Rest easy brother!

Ryan was a beautiful young man, and his mother's heart. Cheryl, I am so very sorry to hear about your sweet son. Even as I say it, I know there are no words that can truly comfort your grieving heart in the wake of such a tragic, unimaginable loss. Lillian and Ed, Denise, Michael, David and Carl, and all of Ryan's loving family and friends, as you navigate your way through this very difficult time, I am holding Cheryl and all of you in my heart.

Growing up and even into our adult life we were considered partners in crime. As kids we trick or treated, went camping, rode bikes and had sleepovers. As young adults we shared many late nights and laughs. As time went on and life moved forward and we grew up a bit I needed Ryan in different ways. Painting rooms, fixing garage doors, packing & moving, a body guard or a shoulder to cry on. Ryan became the god father of my youngest daughter Cody and was over the moon when I asked him. I will carry and cherish the memories I shared with Ryan forever. You’ve only just left us, but I miss you already.

Ryan responded to my request for help in repairing my garage door. He was the kindest, most sincere, person I have ever met. We had many long chats about life and our journeys. So happy our paths crossed, albeit for a very short time. You were an angel to me while here on earth. My condolences to all his family and friends.

Ry and I were best friends throughout high school and into college. We had a great crew of friends but he was the one who could talk to anyone and solve any problem. He taught me so much, some I knew in the moment but a lot that took time & maturity to understand No matter the time apart, we always picked back up as great friends. A loyal, fun and selfless friend. I wish we stayed closer over the past few years but I'm happy to read all the posts from your friends in your recent travels. I miss you Ry.

I met Ryan at the Salvation Army at one of the lowest points in his life. I watched him pick himself back up off the grown and grow into the kind, smart and caring person everyone knew. Ryan was my friend and he made an impact on my life in the short time I knew him that will last my entire life. My he rest in peace. I will see you again one day my friend. My deepest condolences go out to his other friends and family as I'm sure this is a hard time for many people. God's Speed.
