Sue & Family, I will always remember Howie's quiet presence; stoic and observant. Whenever I had the pleasure of speaking with him, I truly enjoyed his unique perspective on things; sprinkled with his quick, wry sense of humor. Howie always seemed to have a twinkle in his eye. Sue, So sorry to hear about Howard. It was an honor to share tenting at many of the New England Highland Games through the years. He was an inspiration to many veterans and our Farquharson Clan. I did not realize the similarities to my own father until now: They were born the same year, joined the US Military at 17, and served in the Pacific during WWII (my dad in the Coast Guard). He will be missed by many.
