I met Bob in 1984 when we both joined Metcalf & Eddy. I, along with everyone else, could not pass by his office without stopping for a chat. What a rare personality he had and we all enjoyed. We remained friends after we both left AECOM and Bob was instrumental in bringing me to ECC. My wife and I had dinner with Bob before the pandemic at Kitty's. He introduced me to the Manhattan cocktail and he taught me not to be reluctant to tell a maître D where I wanted to sit in a restaurant. This is a huge loss for many.
