Fr. Capuci & Family,
I am so sorry for the loss of Ruthie. She was special to me, my family and all at The Center of Jesus! I enjoyed y’all’s visit to Seward, Alaska and managed to occassionally keep in touch with her. I’m sure Jesus ran to greet her, just like the mural at the Center! Y’all are in my thoughts and prayers. I’ve added pics I could find… Joanne Frey Casey

Dear Father Capuci, I am so sorry to hear that your dear mother has passed away. She was like a mother to all of us at The Center of Jesus the Lord. I remember the Holy Spirit House where she would stay when she would visit you in New Orleans. Earl and I worked the gardens for those 3 years before Katrina and she was such a delight as she would visit with us and just be a happy presence. Oh, how she will be missed by your family and we have missed her since life happened and took her away from us. So many wonderful memories. Love is stronger than death..... thanks be to God. Ruth, pray for us from heaven.
Much love, Becky Dietrich

Ruth Capuci was an incredible woman. it was wonderful to see her share her love of family with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was her happiest when everyone was gathered around the table.
Anyone and everyone who entered her home was welcomed. If you could tell a joke and make her laugh, all the better.
I will miss laughing with her.

Father Capuci and Family,
I will always treasure the times your mom, and you, were at the Center of Jesus the Lord. She was a wonderful to be with all the time. Her obituary describes her perfectly. I will especially remember the kindness toward our family especially my Douglas. While there is rejoicing in heaven and she is dancing with the angels, and perhaps your dad prayers for her, you and your family will remain in our nightly prayers. We still go in to New Orleans, on occasion, for Douglas' sake it is the "New Center" but the memories of Rampart Street are vivid. God bless! Carmen and Douglas O'Mara

Ruthie taught me two important lessons of life
The value of a penny
And most importantly to put the toilet seat down when done
Charlie
1st time I met her it was like I had known her my whole life
We shared that Italian love over food and laughter and every time I find a penny I’ll say a prayer for her

Father John,
Sending love, prayers and sympathy to my dear friend and all the family. Ruth was a wonderful woman, full of life with an abiding love for you all. Whenever I called to speak with you I would first get a chance to catch up with Ruthie! We had some great chats back then which I will always treasure. She always took the time to ask how I was and to offer kind words. I pray that you and all your siblings will find comfort in the memories you share of your beautiful mother. Love and condolences Bernadette (Bern) Scalese

I don’t know if I sent this or not so I will try to say it again
I have known ruth for about six years, in that short period of time I had the wonderful experience of her presence. Walking in the kitchen and seeing her sitting at table wearing her pretty silk robe she would look at me and say “ Tony come here and have a cup of coffee “ I would give her a kiss and we would talk about the old days. She would always ask about my family as if she knew them all. I used joke with her about going out to drink and then go dancing Ruth I am so glad to have met you and will never forget you
By for now tony

Fr John and family,
I have fond memories of your mother when I use to stop by walking to grammar school at Montrose. She was always kind and generous and made me fresh toast. May Christ welcome her with open arms.

First my condolences to the entire family. I’m not sure who wrote the obituary but it is well done and extremely accurate. She taught me so much in life which I could never repay. Such a beautiful woman may she rest in peace.
