Shirley was my mother's best friend. And I loved her very much. She was like a second mother to me. And my family loved her. I spent a lot of time with her and my mom in Florida and we had great times. She also had such incredible faith in God. I always felt comforted knowing that Shirley put myself and my children in her prayers daily. She just gave so much of herself to others. My Mom and Shirley were friends of Bill W. And Shirley was always there to help the newcomer. Shirley's whole life revolved about giving to others. She was just a beautiful woman. The world will shine a little less bright without Shirley in it.
