Sylvia was a good friend for over 40 years. When we met I had never had my nails done or went clothes shopping before. She changed all that in a good way.
We bonded as soon as we met, and shared many happy times and sad times.
I enjoyed staying over in her condo or at the lake house. It was a safe haven for me.
Sylvia will always have a special place in my heart and mind.
I keep saying, “you never loose those you give to God”
Your friend,
Mary

Dear family of Sylvia,
My heartfelt sympathy to all of you on the passing of one of the nicest women I have ever known.
I lived on Pine Street in Arlington across the street from Sylvia and her wonderful family. Sylvia and Lolly taught their niece, my best friend Nancy, and I cheers and all of the latest dance routines. We watched while they went to their proms, went out on dates and enjoyed a fun life as teenagers.
The entire Amodeo family treated me like one of their own and I enjoyed every day growing up with them.
A few years ago I visited Sylvia at her summer home and it seemed just like old times as we reminisced about the old neighborhood.
May all of the happiness you have shared with your mother, grandmother, aunt, friend be a source of comfort in the days ahead. I know the sadness will always be there, however, may the happiness be the memory that is in the forefront of your thoughts.
Rest in peace with God and your family dear Sylvia.
With love,
Janice (Cofran) Weber

Gram was like a third grandmother to my boys when they were young. She treated them like they were her own and they loved her. Fred met her when he was in first grade, and I met her when I was a freshman in high school. She was a very special and loving soul who will be sorely missed. Rest in peace Sylia. We all love you. Mary, Fred, Chris, Eric and Mike

Gram always made sure she had Countrybrook lemonade in the house if she knew I was coming. When I was little, I thought it was homemade, but when I was older she let me in on the secret that it was a premade mix. It was always so much better when Gram made it.

To all the family of Sylvia, some photos of her at our wedding in Scituate May 22,1976. Also enclosed a picture of Alice Williams , Frank Williams wife. He was the brother to Terry Grinnell. Cousins, Eleanor Williams Noyes, my mom and her two brothers Robert and Buddy! Don Grinnell shared many stories of how they babysat for Larry and Don.Terry with gramma outside our home in Scituate….So many wonderful memories of a great lady who always made everyone feel loved and special. May the special memories you all share sustain you through this difficult time. With a heavy heart. Jan, Bob and family
